“Good food but overprices”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

Couldn't fault the food, but it was a lot for what it was - £230 for three courses and a £40 bottle of wine for two. It was very casual inside (very few people dress up). Rim Rock was better food and better value - but still worth going to try it out.

“Waiter with a really bad attitude, not made to feel welcome”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

From the minute we were seated everything was too much trouble. Drink menu arrived eventually, then when asked for Gin & Tonic the attitude started. The drinks then took 20 minutes to arrive. I could go on about his bad attitude but won't I think you get the picture. Which was a shame as the food was good. We didn't hang around for desert as we didn't like being made to feel like something the waiter had bought in on the bottom of his shoe. The sad part was this was a return visit, and we made the reservation well in advance in order to get a table.
The manager did take the time to apologize at the end of the evening after we complained on the way out.
For a fine dining experience we were very disappointed. The Grill at the Fairmount was a much better experience with staff that made you feel very welcome.

“Treat”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

This is a busy restaurant in winter. Like most skiing resort restaurants you need to book. Seating location in a busy restaurant that can cater for large groups is important. The seating plan was excellent, especially if couples wish to enjoy a romantic dinner. The food is of a highest standard along with the wine list. If you visit whistler and you are a foodie then this is a place not to miss.
