Description: In its 23rd year, the Rimrock Café has delighted diners with its innovative, fresh cuisine and emphasis on the finest fish and game, artfully prepared with inventiveness and flair. The restaurant is consistently recognized as a local’s favorite for atmosphere, service and a sublime eating experience. Behind the large glass window of our lit cellar, all manner of wines from the glamorous and recognizable to the intriguing and new seem to hum seductively. Two fireplaces cast an ambient glow over the chatter and energy of our rustic dining room. In summer, enjoy your meal on a sunny patio. The seafood antipasto for two is the perfect start to your meal. Stunning presentation meets succulent, vibrant flavor among the six exquisite tasters. Try our Venison tenderloin, served with a porcini cream and homemade spatzle. For the seafood lover, our main course Trio is a harmony of seared Ahi, nut crusted Sablefish and grilled prawns. Complete your meal with Whistler's favorite desert.

“Best Meal in Whistler!”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

Wow! This lovely cafe is just a short drive outside the main village, but well worth the drive. It is a bit deceptive from the outside as it looks rather small and ho-hum, but the food. Oh my goodness, the food was fantastic! We were travelling with another couple and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Save room for dessert! Order the sticky toffee pudding for a decadent dessert to die for!!

“Great restaurant, perfect service!”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

We had dinner at Rim Rock once during our holiday and it was possibly the best food we had in Whistler all week. The location is slightly outside the village centre, but our hotel kindly provided a free taxi service. The restaurant is fairly spacious so it doesn't feel like they have tried to fit in as many tables as possible, which is nice. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful in advising on the menu or wine and the food is simpy excellent, in particular the sea food. The atmosphere is slightly less pretentious than Araxi - although that is really good too - so it really is all about the food here. We would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Whistler!

“Probably the best in Whistler...and that's saying something!”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

Just visited Rim Rock last night (the last night of our holiday). Beautiful fine dining restaurant with a cosy mountain feel but retaining high quality and formality about the food. Seriously good cooking and some real creativity from the chefs too. Each day they offer a trio of fish and shellfish, plus a special dessert as well. I had the scallops and lobster which was a truly stunning dish - in fact my dish of the two week gastro holiday in BC to be honest. Wine list is enormous and a delight. White choc and raspberry creme brûlée was outstanding as was the ice wine we had with it. In my view the top three in Whistler are Rim Rock, Araxi and the Red Door if you want to know where else we ate.

“You cannot go wrong here”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

This is a wonderful place with so much character! Most of the wait staff we observed were seasoned, and ours had been at this restaurant for 17 years. My husband ordered the halibut entrée special and it was to die for!! I had the 3 course special, also good. As wonderful as the food was, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was the highlight in my opinion....just too small! All the food was beautifully presented. The location of Rim Rock Cafe is not in Whistler Village, but just a short drive away on the main road to Vancouver. You cannot go wrong here.

“The Best Meal in Whistler”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Situated a short cab ride out of town, The Rim Rock is a wonderful place for dinner. We went with another couple who had not been to Whistler before but have eaten in some of the best & highest rated eateries in the world. Quite simply we were blown away ! Every element of the experience was perfect, exceptional food, faultlessly prepared & cooked and presented in a delightful way. Great variety of quality seafood, Meat & Game, wonderful & varied wine list with some outstanding BC wines alongside some real stars from Italy, Spain & France. Try and leave room (it will be hard) for desert, the four of us shared an assiette of sweets together with the "House Special Sticky Toffee Pudding". All this prepared and served by friendly, well educated & knowledgeable staff. one of the best meals we have EVER had. The Rim Rock is a world Class Restaurant, Truly Outstanding !
