Description: In its 23rd year, the Rimrock Café has delighted diners with its innovative, fresh cuisine and emphasis on the finest fish and game, artfully prepared with inventiveness and flair. The restaurant is consistently recognized as a local’s favorite for atmosphere, service and a sublime eating experience. Behind the large glass window of our lit cellar, all manner of wines from the glamorous and recognizable to the intriguing and new seem to hum seductively. Two fireplaces cast an ambient glow over the chatter and energy of our rustic dining room. In summer, enjoy your meal on a sunny patio. The seafood antipasto for two is the perfect start to your meal. Stunning presentation meets succulent, vibrant flavor among the six exquisite tasters. Try our Venison tenderloin, served with a porcini cream and homemade spatzle. For the seafood lover, our main course Trio is a harmony of seared Ahi, nut crusted Sablefish and grilled prawns. Complete your meal with Whistler's favorite desert.

Ate at Rim Rock on 8th April. Very impressed with the atmosphere and decor. Would have happily ordered most dishes on the menu but we went for the oysters and scallops to start - delicious. We both had the trio of fish for main course which was superb as was the mini dessert platter. Slightly pricey but then it is ski resort pricing so can't complain. Excellent wine selection and friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely return.

7 of us dined here on Saturday evening. We dined here 4 years ago and chalked it up as one of our best dinners ever...and we are well travelled diners, whether on business or for fun, we've been all over the world. We had a reservation (highly recommended)...and the Rimrock did not skip a beat from the minute we arrived. So glad we returned for an encore. Our server was the best we've ever had, she is obviously a skilled professional at her craft. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and so helpful. No request was anything but a pleasure to execute for her. All appies, from oysters to lobster bisque, foie gras and salads came out together, at the right temperature, and were all "oohing and awwwingly" delicious. The venison here can't be beat, those who ordered it were thrilled with it again. I ordered the halibut special and found it a bit bland with the beurre blanc, but the arctic char with porcini dust was outstanding! And both were perfectly cooked. The dessert trio tray was to die for, especially anything with chocolate involved. And their sticky toffee pudding is a must - but share one with your group. We only had room for a little taste each after such a fine meal. So sorry can't recall our server's name, but she's a treasure.

Five of us had the best meal we have had in Whistler despite coming her since 1998.
Try having three starters and nothing else!
Excellent quality and value for money wine list as well.
Good service, and really surprising to find such good food in surprising premises.

We were fortunately able to secure a reservation using Urban Spoon. The 530 booking was fine considering we were still on "eastern" time and tired from a nice day on the slopes. The exterior is quite unassuming but the interior is very warm and inviting. Our server was excellent and informative. We all had appetizers which were delicious from beet salad to mussels. All four of us had seafood from wild salmon, seared halibut and the seafood special of tuna salmon and char...all excellent. The signature dessert "sticky toffee pudding" was delightful and I can see why it is so popular with both tourists and locals alike!
Though expensive what isn't at Whistler and this meal was well worth the price!

Well done!

Went here early on in this trip after missing it out last time. I was expecting good food and good service given it's current number 1 rating and was disappointed on both.

The food and service were both very average. Don't get me wrong, this was not a bad dinner, but the food did not stand out - it was mildly warm versus hot and the waiter just didn't seem to be around much of the time.

I expected better and was disappointed with this. It doesn't deserve a poor rating as it was not bad, but it was a very average experience and one bettered several times on this 14 day trip to whistler.
