while we were staying at the lodge i noticed that the fairmont was offering a similar room for the same price but included the price of 2 free passes for the peak to peak - about 99 dollars.
we were very disappointed with the service at the lodge - we had just returned from an alaskan cruise, and 1 night in a B&B in vancouver (the light heart inn, amazing service) where we had received first rate accommodation and service. we arrived expecting our room to be ready at 2pm (this was our check in time) to be told that the room wouldnt be ready until 4pm, they could store our luggage while we went into whistler and send our luggage up to the room if they could find the time!!! not a very good start.
on the second day when we returned to our room late evening, the bed had been made but the bathroom had not been cleaned. we were very tired so didnt bother to report this.
There is a mini kitchenette, with 3 small milk cartons and 1 pack of coffee for 2 people for 2 days??? I only drink decaff, when I asked for some for the room I was asked "how many packs?" Mean or what?
I found the room very dark, even with the natural light and the lights switched on it was difficult to read.
The mattress was very soft, not good for your back.
The room was spacious (we had a mountain view studio), and the view was spectacular. Although it was at the front, it was very quiet.
The hotel is in a lovely setting.
We had no problems with the shuttle service and found the drivers to be friendly.
We used the bikes to cycle into whistler following the valley trail - this is a must do! no problems with this - helmets and locks provided free of charge.
Used the hot tub - lovely!
Whistler is lovely and amazing - the village is not quite what we imagined (I obviously spent too much time researching seattle vancouver and alaska and didnt give much thought to our 2 nights end of vacation stay in whistler!) The mountain experience is incredible, there is enough to do here for 1 week stay!
Would I visit Whistler again - definitely, would I stay at the Nita Lake Lodge? Probably not!

A beautiful hotel with spectacular view over Nita Lake. Our 2 room suite was spectacular with 2 storey windows, Great balcony, beautiful main floor suite with king size bed & huge bathroom with soaker tub from which you can see the mountains. Stone floor in entrance & bathrooms. Armoire with micro, sink & small fridge with dishes, glasses & all. 2nd floor loft with another king size bed & equally huge bath with an enormous stone shower instead of the bath. Not much more you can ask for in a room. The 1 bedroom rooms I saw were also beautiful. The restaurants were fine, but your a walk to Creekside Whistler & quick drive to Whistler village. Loads of fun. And a great park within a short walk for kids! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We had our wedding reception at Nita Lake Lodge, couldn't have asked for a better place! The view from the patios are awesome, particulary the Royal Hudson room where we had a rehearsal party. They're event/wedding staff is fantastic, Sandra and Barbara both took care of everything perfectly and went the extra mile for us without even having to ask!

Just to give a balanced review, the front desk staff was a bit lacking in customer service spirit, they tried but were either not trained enough or just not the right fit.

Regardless, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Whistler for the first time, or for any event you want great pictures of for later!

We had been looking forward to the lake aspect of this hotel, in particular, so were very disappointed to find that we were put at the back, over-looking the car park (with distant mountains within sight to, to be fair). The double room - with second bedroom up a flight of stairs was huge, but in a way all the dimensions were wrong. The ceilings were vastly high, the living area narrow, so only the people on the sofa can see the TV. Minor details, really - as there is a lot to like. But I think it all hinges on that lake view. Make sure you ask for it...

My wife and I recently had a wonderful experience staying at the Nita Lake Lodge with our two girls. The rooms are the most spacious I've ever seen in a hotel. Every bed in the lodge is a king, and every bath a double soaker with an adjoining glass walled rain shower. There was plenty of room for our kids to run around making us feel very much at home. Nita Lake Lodge's location right on Nita Lake also provided the outdoor activities we sought as a young family. We could walk to nearby Alpha Lake in just a few minutes to enjoy its sandy beach and shallow water. Or we could take the kids on a short hike or bike ride to nearby Alta Lake where we could rent a canoe for a short paddle.

Not to miss out on Whistler Village's shops and wonderful restaurants, we were able to enjoy the lodge's complimentary Land Rover taxi service that would bring us to any spot in the village and pick us up when we were done. The two complimentary internet computer terminals in the lobby were also a convenient plus.

The staff was very friendly and we look forward to returning with friends for a future stay.
