“One of the Nicest Places I've Ever Been.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

The Nita Lake Lodge is just off of the lake with beautiful trees, streams and paths surrounding. You can borrow the bicycles provided by the Lodge or the shuttle van to get into the 'resort' area of town, we used both methods of transport. Though a bit chilly for swimming in the pool or one of the nearby lakes the summer weather was pleasant and we only had one rain shower in the week that we were there. There are numerous outdoor activities to enjoy from kayaking and canoeing to cycling and just plain walking. A short drive to the former Olympic Village and you will find pristine wilderness with amazing pine trees and even a black bear or two. Lot's of hiking, bike riding and paddling to enjoy and don't forget to stop by the animal shelter and take a few of the 'inmates' for a walk!

I went to the spa here today with 2 friends. We each had a massage and used the steam room, hot tubs, and lounge. We agreed that our RMT massages were excellent (thanks Molly and ?), the lounge very nice and the steam room and hot tub were fine. Not as spectacular as other spas in Whister. but fine.

However, when we arrived the 3 of us and one other woman were shoulder to shoulder in the cramped and poorly laid out woman's change room. At the end, there were 3 women getting ready for a wedding, and with their luggage, change of clothes, beauty products and sound system and we could barely get in the door. They were attending a wedding in the hotel and their rooms were not ready. Why they could not use another washroom, with more square footage in the hotel, was not clear.

We would like to return again, if there was a larger change room!

Room Tip: Spa visit only

Obviously, this is not cheap, but the Lodge was amazing. We had booked a non-lake view, but having seen the Lake, we decided we had to see if they had a room free. It was an extra $40 a night, but as it was a special occasion, worth it.

The rooms are well appointed, large, modern and very clean. Our Lake side room had a small balcony to look over the lake, Very quiet. Bathroom nice as well, like a boutique hotel.

Car Parking is expensive though.

Breakfast was very good as was the bar. (we didnt eat in the evening). There is also a coffee shop on the premises which was good. Was quiet as its between seasons and therefore prices were cheaper (all relative = only time we could afford it!)

Hotel has a shuttle bus which will drop you off and pick you up at a number of points in Whistler.

We also went in the outside hot tub. TBH, wasnt very hot though

Well worth it for a special occasion, but maybe off-season.

Room Tip: Lake view is simply stunning....but obviously more expensive.

Nita Lake Lodge is a wonderful mountain serenely set on lovely mountain lake just a few miles
away from the bustling and noisy Whistler Village. It's perfect tranquil setting with lovely lakeside
studios and suites that offer the proximity to all of Whistler's restaurants, bars, shops and mountainside activities without the hustle and bustle of the village. The room all have a very cozy
comfortable feel enhanced by a gas fireplace and lovely bathrooms with heated floors.

The staff does an outstanding job of enhancing the guest experience. Definitely a first choice
for getting away from it all and still enjoying all that Whistler has to offer.

Room Tip: It's well worth the modest extra expense to book a lakeside room. The lakeside balcony is specia...

We loved the surrounding area of the hotel, parks, lakes, trails. I felt that intigrating the hotel with the railway was very special and enjoyed the historic photos around the lodge. We wanted to try something different and stay in the Whistler Creek area, we have always stayed in the Village on previous visits. I like how the Nita Lake Lodge has given the area a upscale lift.

The Nita Lake Lodge is an absolutely stunning hotel. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and comfortable (especially the bed and the large tub). The location is right on Nita Lake, with a bicycle/walking path that runs along the lake to the main Whistler village. The staff were excellent and so was the food. Also, worth noting, they had a really great BC wine list. They were pouring some very special Okanagan wines by the glass in the lounge. Very nice.

Room Tip: The lake view room may well be worth it. The view is gorgeous.

We visited the Nita Lake Lodge for the first time in October, 2013 to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Arriving early, we had no trouble checking in as our room was ready and waiting. I had called about a week before to request a lake view room with balcony, and happened to mention it was a birthday weekend when making our dinner reservation. Upon arrival, in our room there was a birthday card and some delicious chocolate mousse cups for us to enjoy - a very nice touch.

The view from that balcony was gorgeous - we woke early each morning to have coffee, sitting and watching the sun highlight the mountains behind the still lake. Sitting inside was just as lovely, with the fireplace going and music on the iPod dock. A great big soaker tub, heated bathroom floors, and rain shower head make even the bathroom quite inviting.

The staff at Nita Lake Lodge offer impeccable service - even the cleaning staff are friendly, smiling in the halls. Our dinner at Aura (5 course tasting menu for $30) was perfect! Oysters, seasonal squash salad, bison as the main, cheese plate, and a decadent chocolate dessert..! Our waiter also had 'heard' we were celebrating, and brought champagne and truffles at the end of our meal.

We will not hesitate to recommend Nita Lake Lodge to everyone we know. The location is perfect, scenery is gorgeous, rooms are elegant, and staff members are fantastic. By far our favourite getaway, we'll be back!!
Thanks to the Lodge for making our stay magical.
