My husband and I brought our 10-month old son here for a week-long family trip in July. It couldn't have been better - unbelievable views, quiet, family friendly but with an adult atmosphere (bar, lounge, great restaurant). I'm already planning next summer's vacation back here. Service is friendly, smart, helpful and flexible. E decode is gorgeous, landscaping is lush, green and tended to with balance in mind. The kitchen pulls from a rooftop garden and the spa will be offering yoga on the dock next summer. I'm a chef and sommelier and frankly really particular about my hotels. I want a place that has the comfort of home but with fantastic service and great food & wine. Nita Lake Lodge is the perfect balance. Possible the most charming hotel I've ever stayed in.

Nita lake lodge is in a lovely location right next to the lake, trails for riding and Creekside.

Only a few small issues:

1. Breakfast area is really crowded and the service extremely slow in peak times - you could wait for up to 10 minutes just to get to the front of the queue to place your order. This seems very strange for a hotel of its calibre? The food is very nice though!
2. The mountain view rooms look over the front of the hotel and road so not really great views - always ask for a lake view room to make the most of the setting.

Otherwise, good hotel, nice and quiet.

This is one of the finest places we have ever been. DESPITE!! Here is the story: Dinner is prix fix and comes with three courses. Now to be fair it was late and we were exhausted as we spent the day fishing on Green Lake (do it). Desert took 30 minutes, no almost 40 minutes and still had not arrived. We called the waiter and asked for the check. We paid (no tip) and went to the room to go to bed. 10 minutes later the Chef was at our door with apologies, sincere apologies and our desert. G-d bless him. I felt miserable. The next morning we were leaving the hotel early to go see some bears and the same Chef fixed us this simply amazing box breakfast to take with us.
These guys are first class all the way. Sedrick at the counter, Susan in the bar, the Chef and the wait people; all amazing and wonderful.
The rooms are large, clean and beautifully appointed. If I had to find fault, they do need to perfect the dining room service as a lot of people had to wait without need. But the quality of the food is amazing. In the room the TV control is a total mystery, and there is no honor bar. Who needs either one in Whistler!
Thank you Nita Lake Lodge. We will be back.

Just had a fabulous two stays at Nita Lake Lodge. Beautiful setting and a great location...more relaxing to be away from Whistler Village. The lounge is a great spot for lunch/dinner. The formal restaurant isn't the greatest. It's trying to be good but just isn't cutting it.
We had a great time and will certainly be back!

This place got a great big giant wow from us. Right from the great sense of arrival with it's stone and log design to the wonderfully designed and decorated lobby and everything in between.

The room we had featured huge 12 foot ceilings (at least, probably higher even). It featured a nice welcome area to the room, nice slate flooring that lead into the bathroom (Floor was heated in the bathroom) which features a nice large sized soaker tub and very nice separate showe with stone and wood throughout. The room also had a nice and comfortable king bed, a sitting area, fireplace, big screen tv that was mounted to the wall off an arm that allowed you to position the tv to see from anywhere.

There was also a very nice seating area on the balcony outside that offered very nice view of the wilderness behind the hotel.

One thing to note is that the railway tracks for the Whistler Express are right behind the hotel, however the train went by several times throughout our stay and we could not hear a thing, not even did we feel the vibrations. It was impressively quiet the whole time. Having your patio door open while the train goes by is another story, but while you're in the room with the door closed it's all quiet on the Western Front.

There was also a nice walking path that you can take from a bridge attached to the hotel...just be careful! We ran into a black bear on our walk during dusk, which was a great experience, but not one I'd readily seek out again. Perhaps stick to daytime walks for that area..

Oh, and the Lake itself that the hotel is situated on was very beautiful and calm and it was a great to walk along the shoreline at night, looking at the beauty of the lit up resort.

All in all, it was a great resort, great rooms and I would highly recommend it to anyone heading in that direction.

I would certainly stay there again and I look forward to the opportunity to do so.

One year ago this weekend, my husband and I were lucky enough to be married at the amazing Nita Lake Lodge. Now a year later, we are back enjoying our home away from home… amazing personalized service, beautiful rooms, and a tranquil setting.

Last night we had the pleasure of dining at Aura at Nita Lake Lodge and the food and service (thank you Veronique and Ryan!) was quite simply magnificent. I don’t think I even have the vocabulary to properly describe the creations that Executive Chef Tim Cuff and Chef Owen Foster created. They are nothing short of sublime.

We had the five-course tasting menu. I would love to describe each dish in the same level of detail and with the same passion that our wonderful server Veronique, who has also worked as a chef, was able to convey. Sadly, I don’t know where to even start. Everything from the amuse bouche to the dessert was bursting with flavour. The texture of each dish was intricately balanced and meticulously presented. Making the experience even more enjoyable was knowing that the chefs use local, organic ingredients whenever possible. Although local is an understatement as the chefs cultivate their own rooftop garden that has approximately 30 herbs and 40 vegetables.

For those who have yet to experience Aura or a stay at this beautiful property, I strongly suggest you make the journey to Whistler to check it out! They’re even pet friendly!

Thank you Nita Lake Lodge!

Spent 3 nights here with my husband. The room had a beautiful view of the lake, seen from the bedroom, balcony and the sitting/tv area. Bed really comfortable with ample soft pillows, down duvet and black out curtains.

Bathroom large with huge soaking tub and large shower. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion provided. (if you like bubble bath, bring your own....that is the only thing missing). the floor is also heated!

Wifi is free, and works well in room, but not on balcony.

We took our 2 dogs, and the hotel left us water bowls, dog bed (a bit small for our dog, but was cute). We sat outside at the Fix cafe, and outside on the bar patio. Our dogs were welcome. They even offered us water for them after a long walk. (thanks Colin - great bartender!! and Susan too!) Bar food was good and the setting was lovely- right in front of the lake.

There is a long walking path that goes into town. Its 4 km walk, but nice. There are lots of signs that say dogs on leash, but none of the locals follow that. We had our dogs off, and just kept them clear of the bikes, and had no issues. there are lots of doggie poop bags for your use on this trail.

Everyone at the hotel, from Marta who checked us in to the housekeepers, could not have been anymore friendly! We enjoyed the Canadian hospitality. We loved our stay here, and were very relaxed when we left. Would not hesitate to go again! My husband used the spa and said Jennifer the massage gal rocked.

The train from Vancouver stops at the hotel, but we never heard the train from the room.

(ate next store at BBQ place, was ok, but Bar food at hotel was better. Also, don't get the gelato in the village (bocca gelato?) was the worst ever. Don't waste your $)

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view - awesome
