Extremely disappointed with this service. We were scheduled to take a helicopter tour at 10 am. We got an email the night before saying it might be canceled due to the snow and that they would let us know in the morning by 8 am. We never received a call so I had to call them to ask and that's when they informed us that it had been canceled. It'd be hard to believe that these tours aren't canceled 90% of the time with the weather in Whistler.

Because they told us morning of, we needed to find other things to do and of course everything was booked already. I wouldn't waste your time booking this when there are a ton of other great tours with a smaller/no chance of getting canceled.

Hi @226kristinan,

You are certainly right that the weather in Whistler can sometimes be unpredictable. We definitely get our fair share of sunshine, but our coast mountains are excellent at also delivering big snowstorms during the winter months. As a result of the weather changes, we believe we have become experts at notifying our guests to reschedule their tours.

I am glad to hear we reached out the night before to give warning by email, but it seems we had trouble getting through to the phone number recorded in our online booking system, so we were unable to reach you in the AM by this method. I see that our staff followed up by email requesting a call from you, where we were then able to explain the situation. We always try to re-book our guests to another time or date if possible, otherwise we offer a full refund with no charge to the guest. When the weather is too inclement to fly, this is the best we can do.

Helicopters are amazing machines, but of course safety is our top priority. There are lots of amazing activities in town, but we can be sure that nothing in Whistler will be as spectacular as flying over the town, resort, glaciers, and peaks, however in order to do this we must be sure that there is no risk involved. As you can see from our reviews, we always try to deliver the best level of service to our guests, and I'm sorry the weather didn't cooperate for your visit.

Please contact me directly when you are in town next, and I hope that we can take another shot at getting you in the air. jnorris@blackcombhelicopters.com

BC Experience on Family Day. Gave a call the day before and told Nicola about my proposal plans and she was very accommodating with it. Messaged me the day of to let me know that because of the good weather, they were carrying on with the landing on top of Rainbow Mountain (sometimes they don't land because of bad weather).
The views from the helicopter and on top of Rainbow Mountain were awesome! Christian, our pilot, is great in terms of skills (the ride was comfortable and nice) and knowledge (he knew the area really well). He also was our photographer during the proposal and took lovely shots of my partner and I. Really thankful that I chose to do my proposal with Blackcomb Helicopters!

If you're looking for the best views of Whistler - choose Blackcomb Helicopters and ask for Christian. He took us on the tour of a lifetime. The ride was so smooth you would think you were in a studio but the views reminded you just where you were. Whistler is gorgeous - from the drive up to the slopes, and outrageous Peak-2-Peak gondola, but the helicopter ride topped them all. Especially, the landing and photo-op on top of the glacier - what a thrill.

Pilot was courteous and professional! The tour had exceptional views. Landed on a glacier and got some great photo ops.

This was the best helicopter tour! Just the right amount of time, safe pilot and the views of the mountain were unreal. They can pick you up from your hotel. Everyone was friendly and it was a great bucket list excursion. Plus you get to see glaciers too.
