“A hidden gem”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

After researching the Whistler restaurants on Tripadvisor, I chose Gone Whistler Village Eatery for lunch. Located in the heart of the Village, it is located behind a gift store but you can also get there by going through the passage between the liquor store and the convenience store. they have plenty of seating inside, with a few table on their patio.

They have plenty of staff behind the counter and the food is delicious and filling. Their website does not show their menu, because it changes every day. They offer a variety of entrees - ranging from breakfast meals, sandwiches, soups, salads, pies, burgers, etc.

Their regular breakfast includes 2 eggs, potatoes, choice of 2 pieces of bacon or sausage, and an inch thick slice of toast that is cut in half. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty, the hamburger was big, and the sub sandwich was full of meat.

My teenaged daughter wanted to go back there for another meal, but I wanted to try other places. That's how good this was.

“EXCELLENT FOOD AND 'SOUP'”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

This little 'Eatery' served absolutely superb food. I would highly recommend the veggie scramble, which I had three times during my stay! Also they do a variety of soups which are absolutely divine. Very good value for money, very friendly staff, would highly recommend you go there.

“Local favorite - but I don't see why - kinda just, eh..”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

Our tour guide gushed about this place but it was our least favorite breakfast place from our week's stay in Whistler. There were 9 of us and 7 of our orders were screwed up. The food was slow in coming out and not terribly appealing. There are awesome breakfast places in the village, this just is not one of them. We might just have hit them on a bad day, but i would head to Function Junction and eat at Wild Wood 10 times before heading to Gone.

“High Hotel Breakfast Price be Gone”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

A little hard to find but if you are looking to escape the $10 orange juice it's worth searching out. You can enter through the bookstore in the village. Order at the counter and a delicious fresh made breakfast will soon arrive. It's about $9 for the eggs bacon Pemberton home fried potatoes and toast breakfast. My wife had the oatmeal with a berry compot which she enjoyed. Another member of our party enjoyed a breakfast wrap. Have not tried other meals here but friendly local atmosphere would mean I would give it a try.

“Great friendly place for breakfast - yummy Jalapeno toast!”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

We were staying at the Aava and asked for a recommendation for breakfast - they came up with Gone so we thought we would have a try. So glad we did! It was excellent - we had a few different things between us including the full breakfast, a breakfast sandwich and a breakfast wrap and all of them were great. The bread used for the toast was gorgeous - huge chunks - I especially recommend the jalapeno toast. The atmosphere is really chilled as well - all lovely wood tables and cushions everywhere which added to the atmosphere. We stayed in Whistler for three days and we ended up going there every day even though we normally like to try different places - didn't want to take the chance that they weren't as good as Gone! We are from Wales and it was great as well to speak to a fellow Welsh person who works there and is originally from Newport in South Wales - 'iechyd da' and 'diolch yn fawr' to you!
