“Unreal value”

With all the high prices in Whistler we were so happy to come accross this gem. At $4.95 our expectations were low, and we expected some sort of catch like a $5 cutlery rental fee or some other gimmick! But there was no catch and the food was some of the best we had on trip. (Yes, better than most of the fine dining restaurants we tried in the village). It is one of those places you have to visit yourself to appreciate. I will be back and reccommend to anyone looking for a nice and affordable night out in Whistler.

“Would be 4/5 if only...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

...they knew where the thermostat was! Like the Vancouver location, El Furny boasts all food being $4.95 (yup, the whole menu!) With cocktails (2), an appy and 2 entrees, the cheque was a whopping $30. $35 with tip.

Portions are sufficient, not stingy or light, and the quality isn't sacrificed either.

-1 for the bartender & server both not knowing what a cocktail was... even though it was on their menu.
-1 for the whole damn place not knowing where the thermostat was, and it therefore being wear-a-coat-inside chilly (actually; one of the other servers was commenting loudly that no one knew where the thermostat was...)

Would go again, wouldn't go without a sweater, just in case!

“BARGAIN!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

Under $5 for a lunch? Yes it's possible even though we had some serious doubts about how much the alcohol would cost, figuring they would recuperate with high priced booze. NOT THE CASE! Food arrived fresh and quick, the beer was just fine and reasonably priced. Huge variety on the menu and all was just $4.95
Great view if you are sitting outside, cozy atmosphere with plenty of tv's inside. The staff are just friendly and helpful, no attitude whatsoever. Easygoing.
No one got sick, so feel safe and splurge on the food!!!

This is a cozy restaurant/bar with a $4.95 menu...you can't go wrong with this place, especially if you don't want to spend too much money on fine dining.

“good value and good food for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Ate here twice on two separate visits to whistler. Sitting on the patio is great in the sun, but can get a bit breezy in the fall (sitting under a heater remedied that) and gives you a chance to watch riders coming down the mountain and views of whistler. The food was good and large servings, the nachos are a massive serving as is the ribs and was good for the price.
