Owner description: The non-profit Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the venue continues to grow sport as an active training and competition site. Visitors can experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down parts of the 1,450 meter-long ice track. All proceeds from public programs go directly towards sport, and make training affordable for the athletes. Public Bobsleigh and Skeleton programs on ice will resume December 16, 2017 until April 1, 2018. Summer Bobsleigh on wheels will run again from late June until September 2018. Year-round, visitors can access the Whistler Sliding Centre's public areas for Sightseeing daily from 9am until 5pm (except public holidays). Don't miss the free interpretive walk and learn about the venue and the sports! Site access is not permitted outside these hours.

We had booked our second ski trip to Whistler, when we read about the sliding center and knew we had to try both bobsled and skeleton. All we can say is WOW! My wife and I found the skeleton to be much more exciting than the bobsled but both are amazing. Expensive, but if you book both, even on separate days as we did, you get $100 discount on the second ticket.
The staff are all professional and very nice. A medic in on standby if needed. My advice is to get there 45 minutes early and you can watch the group than proceeds you on the track. While watching them, we had a very informative talk with the staff member on call at the viewing area
This is a must do for even moderate adrenalin junkies.

An incredible experience! The bobsled is a rush (perhaps not for the faint of heart) and the skeleton is pure fun. Do both for $250.

When in whistler we decided to give skeleton a try, it was awesome! The price is a little steep, but it's a one off experience that you won't regret doing. The speed is incredible!

Also there is no need to be nervous, it's perfectly safe you can't come off the sled.

I booked this experience 10 days in advance and totally worth the cost, hard to define in words but if one is looking for the closest thing to an Olympian Experience, well dont' wait, GO FOR THE GOLD NOW:)

I booked this not totally knowing what i was getting in to but the staff at WSC answered all of my emails in a very timely manner and despite how basic my question was they answered totally to my satisfaction, thus i was ready for the experience. I totally knew what i was getting into which was:

DOING TWO RUNS on the SKELETON one in which my speed hit 98.9 KM/H and yes i was nervous but their safety briefing took care of my nerves...then did ONE run on the Bobsleigh which hit 124.2 KM/H and this run was at night and wow....totally cool

Will i do this again, YES. will i wear less clothing YES, it is all about the "need for speed" and again cannot ask for a more professional and down to earth staff, they made me feel like an OLYMPIAN!
