This hotel met and exceeded my expectations. Beautiful suites with all amenities needed for either a short or long stay. Personnel really nice. A couple of days before our arrival, the administration provided us with a lot of information to make the most of our stay. The recommendations included Vancouver and the trip up to Whistler. Definitely we will return to the Sundial but for a longer stay!!!

Room Tip: Room 403 is in a corner and had a balcony.

This boutique hotel is in a fantastic location, right near the chairlift and with close access to the upper village. I found the hotel staff to be friendly and attentive, and the hotel has good amenities including a laundry, on-site restaurants and a roof-top spa pool (hot tub). Our room had a separate lounge and kitchen area which was well-equipped and nicely decorated. We stayed for 4 days but could comfortably have stayed a lot longer. The highlight is really the bed, which was HUGE and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I'd recommend getting a valley view room as they are on the quieter side of the hotel but still have a lovely view. I thought the hotel was excellent value for money and provided space if you're staying for a while or with a group.

Room Tip: Choose a valley view room - they are quieter and have a nice view.

We stayed two nights on a pleasure trip on a Monday and Tuesday in mid Sept. Things in the town were "slow" by normal tourism standards and the hotel was at 40% occupancy on those days. The location is very convenient to browsing around the center of Whistler and it is right next to the lifts for the ski slopes, mountain bike trails, and gondola ride. The staff is friendly and responsive. The room was clean and well kept and comfortable. There is one air conditioner in the main room and it manages to push enough air around to keep the separate bedroom cool as well (we had weather in the 80's). I had a hard time getting the TV remote to control the TV and the directions for using the DVD player were useless because there was no DVD remote to use. I had decent internet connection on the first night, but after that it was totally useless. The guy at the desk said he would reboot the system, but nothing improved. Parking is available in a few underground spaces for an additional $20 per night. There are four metered spots in front of the hotel, but no good place to pull up and register unless you use the lane for the hotel van (which I never saw). There is a laundry in the basement with a wash for $2 and a dry for $2. Overall, it is a good hotel and we would stay there again unless we could find a better deal.

Room Tip: You can ask for a mountain view room. Ours was on the 6th floor and was half-way decent, but a lot...

Stayed here for two nights during our trip to Canada to see the bears and zipline for my partner's birthday. We were greeted by friendly staff. This was more than just a room, there was a kitchen and living area as well as a spacious bedroom with ensuite. As with other hotels we've stayed in in Canada the bed was huge and comfortable. There was also a sofa bed in the lounge area. We didn't choose to upgrade to one of the hotel's hot tub rooms, but made full use of the hot tub they have situated on the roof, once late evening relaxing watching the stars and then on a sunny day, both times we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. One small thing they should provide a kettle for us tea lovers in their otherwise well equipped kitchen. The room we were in wasn't noisy as some other reviewers have mentioned. Would choose this hotel again if we visit Whistler in the future.

The excellent size and kitchen facilities of the suite we had meant this was ideal for a family holiday allowing us to mix eating out and some dining in. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Whistler and close to the various activities and attractions. Given how hot it was in August when we stayed the use of the swimming pool at the sister hotel across the road or hot tub on the roof was very welcome. As mentioned by other reviewers the parking can be a bit difficult and is an additional charge.

Room Tip: You have to trade mountain views with being closer to some of the noise from the restaurants. Go for...

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Sundial for part of our honeymoon. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite on the 8th floor. The private deck and hot tub was absolutely amazing with the mountain view. Room was very clean and thoughtfully decorated as well. Interactions with the staff were minimal but they were courteous and helpful when needed. There was a nice "Fall" discount we got on the rate which made the room a great value.

There was only one small problem. Now let me first say that I realize this is not their number one priority and I am only mentioning this for the benefit of people considering staying here. The internet and WiFi access at this hotel was absolutely atrocious. Unfortunately I did have a couple of work obligations to attend to during our stay and it was almost impossible to do anything other than simple web browsing. Perhaps this is a trend in Whistler being in a relatively remote location, maybe everything is done over satellite, I just don't know. There didn't seem to be a wired option so I was forced to use the hotel WiFi which was completely unsecured meaning that anyone, hotel guest or not, could use it (possibly why it was so slow).

Overall if we come back to Whistler we will be staying here without a doubt.

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to hear that you included the Sundial Boutique Hotel as part of your honeymoon plans and that our spacious Hot Tub Suite with breathtaking views added to your vacation experience. I am equally thrilled to hear should you return to Whistler you would stay with us again.

I was sorry to learn your visit was impacted by Wi-Fi access. It is my top priority to ensure we have the best Wi-Fi service, however during your stay we did experience a router issue where it went down for five days. After some delay our provider replaced it with a new one. We appreciate all feedback and endeavour to make changes where we can. We will look into additional measures to ensure all access is secure.

I look forward to welcoming you on your next visit to the Sundial Boutique Hotel!

Great location, and the room was clean. Hard to park for check in and the underground parking is super tight. (hello door dings!!)
But biggest problem is any room overlooking the village is party central. Noise from the bar smoking crowd until 2:30am

Room Tip: Not overlooking village!!
