“Basic Asian food with high prices”
Review of Chinese Bistro - CLOSED

We had nice dinner here, food was just a basic Asian food, nothing surprising. Hot foods were not actually hot, so if you like it hot -> ask extra spicy ones.

Had a nice meal here last year and was hoping for a repeat last month but they closed for good.
So we went to the Mexican Corner in the upper village and enjoyed a wonderfully authentic
Mexican meal in a warm and welcoming environment. The host said that they were doing so well
that they were opening a second location November 1st in ... the former Chinese Bistro !
Be sure to try their exotic Margaritas and the family recipe Sangria. Ole !

The service was quite good however the meal was very average. A lot more reasonable and better quality restaurants in Whistler. Filled the empty belly but that is all.

The wait staff at this place were hopeless. Main course served prior to appetisers (so much for enjoying the duck pancakes), no water, no bowls, no spoons for sauce. Just confused all round.

had dinner here tonight. It was OK - the hot and sour soup was a little tame and the spicy chicken was OK, but a little mroe sauce would have been better.

Only problem is they served both of the courses within a minute of each other. Dumb and not very good service. I sent back the main to the kitchen so they would keep it warm.
