“Super fun snowmobiling with lunch in a yurt (!) to boot”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

Our party of four adults and three children (ages 11, 9 & 7) had a wonderful time on the family introductory snowmobile tour. Our guide Geoff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and accounted for a group who's experience ranged from novice to expert. Trails were extremely rutted and made for rough riding (the snowfall on the mountain was pretty low this year) but we still had a great time making our way up and down the mountain. Note that we found this terrain much more aggressive than other trails we've ridden in Wyoming and the UP. The tour allows for a brief stop where the kiddos can ride their own mini sleds (very much fun for them to do and for us to watch!) and lunch in the heated yurt (a bowl of soup, hot chocolate and plenty of bread) is completely charming. Snowmobiles were in great shape, easy to drive and we're completely ready to sign up for the intermediate tour when we return. We'd recommend this for families with children aged 4 to 84 who are looking for an adventurous afternoon. No previous snowmobile experience is required.

“BC Tour (Snowmobile)”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

This was a great trip. Our guides, Rowland and Jordan, provided a comprehensive safety briefing and introduction to snowmobiling, and then we were off. I've never ridden a snowmobile, and found it much easier than I'd anticipated. The vehicles were easy to ride, comfortable, and had (bonus!) warmed handles. This trip was rated intermediate.

The track, although bumpy, was easy to manage and I really enjoyed driving the snowmobile. There were a few drop offs, but the track was easily wide enough for the vehicle, and the views were spectacular. I found the pace easy to maintain, as the guides keep the pace down to suit the least confident rider in the group.

There were full face safety helmets, you need goggles or sunglasses and definitely dress for warmth with layers. We had the option of heading for a pastry and hot drink or more riding, and our group unanimously decided to keep riding and not worry about the snack. At the end of the trip there was nice warm pear cider anyway.

My compliments to both Rowland (whose selfie is incorporated in this review!) and Jordan, our guides today.

I'm a 48 year old woman with no previous experience apart from one ride on a jet ski 24 years ago, (if you can actually count that!) if that puts some perspective on this review.

“Guided snow shoe expedition”
Reviewed January 18, 2014 via mobile

I like snow and mountains but I am not a great skier. It seems a shame to be restricted to the less interesting parts of a mountain because I don't ski well! Then I discovered snow shoeing. A lovely walk wearing special shoes with grip !
I went on a snow shoe walk through the forest with TAG. They had great snow shoes, modern and easy. They also had waterproof boots for those who needed.
The guide, Barb was personable, charming and informative.
As well as a beautiful walk we received instruction on the flora and fauna, details about the traditional owners and a bit of history. There was time to taste the edible plants and the opportunity to slide down some steep bits -smoothed to make ice slides, which was a real high-light.
This was beautiful, well organised and most enjoyable.

“Night Time Zip Lining”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

We did the night time zip line tour with dinner and a WONDERFUL time. The staff was terrific from start to finish! We were surprised by the excellent dinner served on top of the mountain . .. we expected the usual tour food, but were blown away when we found out it was catered by Barefoot Bistro. We had a relatively clear night which made for an incredible experience . . . check the weather forecast before you go . . . if rainy or foggy or freezing cold . .. I can't imagine it being anywhere near as good as when we went. Overall, a HIGH QUALITY tour experience!!
