A wee gem, quiet so good for a yarn with the staff a quick beer or feed and cheap as chips! Appi hour 4-6pm each day with half price appetizers which were tasty and two of them was pretty much a main meal for less than $12 often. The beer is the cheapest in town and this would normally mean a busy raucous bar full of knob ends and louts but it was quiet and well patronized with a mix of travelers. The owner seemed to be a bit out of touch with reality, concepts such as marketing seemed to be foreign to him as was having a good outdoor heating system, but you couldn't knock the staff they added a great personality to the place.

The food was speedy, but the dishes weren't super clean. The meals were fairly decent...most of us at the table at the two egg meal that came with home fries, toast, bacon and eggs. It was reasonably priced but I wouldn't say that it was a memorable meal.

Back in the day when BG stood for Bread Garden, the food was healthy, tasty and reasonably good value. Now that it's tried to go Urban the food is brown and bland. Overly salty, pre-fab lunches that were likely just heated under hot lights before serving.

We returned to this spot after having a great lunch there sometime ago. This time we tried breakfast.
It was okay. I had a bland breakfast wrap, and my wife had a bland breakfast bagel. BOth of us did not finish, and would probably stick to just having lunch there again, which was great last time!

Nice choice of food on menu, heaps of salad with entree and a nice but basic choice of burgers sandwiches, salads, pizza and pasta. Quick service and great value for money. All drinks priced at $4.24.
