“Whistler, BC - Day Tour Adventure”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We booked a day tour with Westcoast Sightseeing (Gray Line) from Vancouver to visit Whistler, BC (approx. 2.5 hrs ride with stops). I totally recommend this day tour and this company. I will definitely use them again. It was a fantastic day trip with excellent live tour guide/driver. It included timely stops for refreshment, scenic views and waterfalls. Appreciated the price, stops to take pictures, powder nose, and stretch legs. Lots to see and do in the ski village with dining & shops. The extra tour at Whistler Blackcomb on the Peak2Peak Alpine Experience was fantastic with the unique views from the high elevations (have your camera ready). Would not recommend the Peak2Peak tour if you have issues with high elevations.

“Up in the clouds”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Visited this mountain on a very wet June day but despite the weather it was great to come up through the clouds and find snow!

“A summer and winter haven for outdoor sporting activities”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Scattered in the valley and into the foot of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains sits the village of amazing hotels;houses;shops;restaurants etc covering pretty well everything you need to have a good time. Much of the village is pedestrianised with ski lifts to both peaks right in the village. No long bus journeys here. In the winter the lifts take the skiers and in the summer mountain bikers take over closely followed by walkers and those braving the peak to peak gondola. Purchase a combined ski lift gondola ticket looking out for wildlife especially brown/black bears. Remember that it will be quite chilly on the peaks with quite a lot of snow so dress accordingly, especially footwear. If bears are what you want to see then head out on the highway 99 and turn off right towards the Olympic Village of 2010. Early morning/evening are the best times, drive slowly/quietly and you will be rewarded. On 1 day we saw 10 bears right by the roadside eating the lush grass there. Dining out is not cheap but Canada is overall more expensive than the UK especially alcohol.

“Great mountain biking for a newbie”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

We had a most awesome teacher and guide, Nick from Wales, who showed us the ropes and taught us the basics of downhill mountain biking. The mountain itself was unbelievably gorgeous, with low clouds just below the peaks, the peak to peak gondola was epic, and we even saw a black bear munching on the grass of one of the slopes. The mountain biking was exhilarating, even for beginners, and there was so much more for intermediate to advanced riders. Even if you're a girl, like most of us in our party, and complete beginners, go ahead and go for it! Epic!!

“A return visit 18 years later”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

On our first visit to Whistler in Nov 1995 we saw a small quaint ski village. Since then the Olympics have been staged there and the 'village' has grown a lot. Still a bit of quaintness though. This time we were there in June and saw mountain bikes instead of skis. It's a beautiful area. Wouldn't recommend unless the weather is good.
