As a person that has skied in all types of terrains across North America over several decades, this was truly a bucket list experience. I have skied deep powder above timberline but this was the first time I skied in a mountain range where the only humans were the 15 of us. We had a foot of snow the previous night followed by a sunny day. We skied the Spearhead area right behind Blackcomb. As with all things at Whistler, the service was excellent and skied 4 runs with Rob and 2 with Rich, while going through avalanche training by Vlad. I was expecting steeper runs but given the recent snowfall and spring conditions, the avalanche risk kept us away from some of the steeper stuff. I would rate the run difficulty as blue/black but with a lot of powder. The only set back was having a skier in one of the groups that just couldn't handle the terrain. With 1 helicopter servicing 3 groups of 5, you are only as strong as your weakest link, and she slowed down the pace of all 3 groups. The last 2 runs were awesome with only 3 skiers left from the original 15. This will be a ski day that I never forget.
