the lobby was a bit on the dirty side, the staff a little to laid back ( had to wait while they talked to each other ). When they say they have a pool that is on the small size they are not kidding. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable it was close to the village. Parking was a bit pricey, but they let us check it in early and we got to park it all day on the day we were leaving.

Visited here during an R&R break with my cousin. We had an absolutely pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and modern. Although we did get pretty cold at night which is our fault for leaving the AC on so would advice even if the room is warm do not turn the temp down and keep it on!! The views from the room were amazing looking straight at the ski mountain. It is pretty quiet too which helped the extra little bit more to enjoy our R&R. The hotel itself is a short walk away from local restaurants and bars. Staff were so friendly that one staff member offered to give us a lift to the bus station the next day as he saw us with bags and knew it was pouring with rain outside! Good old Whistler weather. Would recommend this hotel for all.

We have stayed here for many long weekends in the past, when the property was The Fairways...nice to see the modern upgrades, however, the bed was waaaay too soft, no support at all. I even tried sleeping on the floor but got cold as there were no extra blankets provided. The mini-fridge is half the size of the old ones, about 1 cubic foot, hardly enough in the summer when we golfers are trying to chill Gatorade and water.

Room Tip: ask for a room in the west wing overlooking the driving range - it's quieter.

We have stayed a variety of hotels in Whistler, but the Aava has always been on my hit-list of places to try out. We finally had the opportunity to stay at Aava for 2 nights during the first weekend of Crankworx (2013). The check-in was quick and the room was clean and comfortable.

We asked to have a crib, it ended up being a playpen but worked fine nonetheless.

If you're on foursquare, at the time of our check-in, you got free parking when you checked in with the app. You just show them the screen of the special and volia, free parking! ($19/day charge normally)

The rooms even included a Keurig coffee machine. Which is nice if you want a quick brewed coffee in 3 minutes.

The king bed we got (we had a Deluxe Room) was super comfortable and we both slept well. Our little guy (who at the time of this is 5weeks old) slept well in the "crib" too.

The only downside, some rooms are connected with doors between them. We found that we could hear the people next to us via the door but they were pretty docile for an even such as Crankworx so that was fine with us.

I have stayed up here numerous times and have always had a great time here. The rooms are clean and modern and everyone on staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The have a great system in place for bikes and for lending out free Go Pro cameras, which we used to go White Water rafting and had a blast! The location, price and total value is well worth it!

In room coffee is great here as well! :)

I would and have recommended the Aava to others.
