We had a great time, whenever you came through the door, the people at the desk would greet you, they were informative, helpful and friendly.
The location was amazing, across the road and up the stroll and you were in the village, everything in walking distance, but away from the night noise and bustle. The swimming pool and hot tub was just what was needed after being on your feet all day, everything clean and well looked after. The room and the beds were very comfortable, never sleep that well at home. We were there to catch up on our kids and there was no problem about them using the facilities as well.
Would have liked the option of a breakfast, but you can,t have everything.

lets start by saying this is a great place if your looking for affordable accommodation that is reasonable nice. Compared to some hotels for the same price in Whistler it is WAY better.

We stayed just one night here, the staff were friendly but don't expect them to come running to grab your bags because thats not going to happen.
The room is ok, pretty standard in what it has to offer and how it looks, the best part is probably the eveda bathroom products and the king bed is REALLY comfy.

The sauna is nice, and the pool and hot tub are ok but certainly nothing special.

I would stay here again because it's a good deal but if you are looking for somewhere special then you will need to move your price point up.

We flew out to the west for some spring skiing and spent five nights here during the Telus festival. The location is really great. Right next to the village but not in it and didn't have all of the noise and foot traffic after the bars closed that you can get. But still really close and an easy walk to lifts and the fun stuff.

Room was great, we had vaulted ceilings and felt fairly new. Everything was polished, and comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job and were very friendly. The pool and hot tub were great for the legs after skiing. All of the staff we encountered were really friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves. There was some noise in the hotel, but it was busy and that's to be expected. Nothing that prevented sleep and feel that was a benefit for being just outside of the village.

The only downer for us was the laundry situation. We generally fly light, pack enough for 3 or 4 days then do laundry once, especially with ski stuff that can get gross. This has never been an issue on any other Whistler trip. Called to double check and was told there was a laundry room. We found out come laundry time that there definitely is a laundry room, but it only has dryers! When checking with the front desk our only laundry option was to drive down to the laundromat in Creekside. This was a bit of a hassle to have to drive down there for laundry.

While it's still a really nice hotel, it's probably better for a shorter stay and certainly perfect for a long weekend. However the Creekside laundry adventure did help us discover Creekbread pizza. We brought one back to the room for dinner and it's some of the best pizza we've had anywhere!

Room Tip: We got a fantastic rate booking directly through Whistler. Much better than the rates I'd seen...

Dear abigllama,

Thank you for your recent review, it's great to hear that you had a nice stay with us and we appreciate your comments.

One of our Spring projects this year is to put a washing machine in the laundry room, it is being installed as I write this!! no more road trips to Creekside!

Kind regards and we hope to see you again soon,

Chris

We stayed at this hotel for a music and band festival on April 25 to 28 th. The Avaa hotel treated the 69 high students and chaperones extremely well! The hotel was located directly across the street from the conference centre, the golf course and the putting green and the driving range was behind the hotel.
There is a White Spot restaurant in the parking lot and many other places to eat in the village. The rooms at the hotel are excellent for the time you spend in it. There is a couch and double bed. The couch pulls out to a comfy bed. The Aveda products are nice touch too.
If I was returning to Whistler I would definitely stay at the Aava Hotel.

Stayed at the Aava Whistler from April 11-13th, 2013. Check in was a breeze, we booked an online package that included the lift passes for three days, lift passes were at the front desk upon check in. The hotel was modern and bright and about a 5 minute walk from the Whistler/Blackcomb gondolas. There is a White Spot restaurant across from the hotel that has great food and service!

The Superior King room we had was great and exactly as advertised. We were looking forward to getting in the hotel hot tub, however, the hot tub was aways full. The hotel is quite basic, nothing too elaborate or fancy about the decor or anything that stands out in my mind.

Overall, I can't complain about the hotel, I would recommend to others or stay again :).
