Description: Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.

Inventive, Imaginative.
My table tried many different items.
Everything was delicious and different.

Our meal came with an included desert.
It came to the table, visually it was just a parfait, but when we tried it,
all the flavors truly came together.

The best meal of our group's week at Whistler; HANDS DOWN.

Just ate there this evening with our two children (11 and 13) and had the most amazing food we have eaten in a very long time. Menu is a little daunting initially but we chose several different dishes and all of us were thrilled with our selections. Feeling brave I chose elk tartare as a starter, it was a fabulous little pot of rich but light gorgeousness. Kids chose charcuterie starters and beef shin main which they loved. Fresh, interesting flavour and texture combinations which were all utterly delicious. Desserts were amongst best we have ever eaten. The restaurant itself has a lovely cosy ambience and is completely unpretentious despite its adventurous menu. Well done, we'll definitely be back !

What a unique menu and great presentation of the food. The staff are were very attentive and knowledgeable. Wine list had a nice selection of local BC wines. My wife and I enjoyed our meals (she had duck and I had the tuna). Preparation was perfect and nice balance of flavors. This is a very nice spot for a special meal. Maybe a little expensive for every night. Compared to many "ski town" restaurants I have visited throughout Canada and New England area, I would put this one up near the top. Would definitely go back

A true foodies delight, no question the best food in whistler.
Here on a 2 week holiday but had to return here to try another dish.
Prices are fair for the quality.
The staff extremely well informed and helpful

First restaurant we tried in our visit to Whistler and we were not disappointed. My boyfriend said he had one of the best meals he had ever had! Mine was very good as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. It is a little expensive, but not terrible.
