Description: Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.

A small French restaurant tucked away in the Pinnacle Hotel. Food was amazing. All of our appetizers and entrees were spectacular and the staff were great with our grandsons.

My wife and I went there after having dined at Quattro the night before. At Alta, we ordered their 1) Guiney Fowl and Smoked Pancetta Terrine; 2) Medium Rare Beef Short Rib; 3) Maple Glazed Pork Cheeks; 4) Dessert special of the day.

Incredible flavours and not over complicated. I would say their food is not your typical safe food with boring flavours. For example, our medium rare beef short ribs were sou vide for 48 hours so that it would stay med. rare and still be buttery tender. The beef still had it's fat marbling visible after 48 hours of cooking. That was a beautifully cooked short rib. And the best was that they didn't advertise it as "sou vide." You don't need to sell food with wordy gimmicks. The chefs are skilled and their service staff are personable. I suspect the owner was working on that particular Wednesday night and you can tell he's hands on with service and the quality of their food.

Love this place. They need to open one in the city of Vancouver.

This is one of the best restaurants is whistler!!
The service and food are 5 out of 5.
I will make a trip back to whistler to dine here again.
They also have a great wine pairing program where you can try 1/2 glasses of wine to go with different courses. All the staff are very knowledgeable.
Their menu changes daily.

Came here when it just opened 3 years ago and had a great experience. Came back with my family this year and the taste and quality of the food is still as good as what we have remembered. If you arrive before 6:15pm, you have the choice of the 3 course meal for just $33. Amazing deal!

We came here because of the great reviews, and everything they said was great !
We had hoped for the 3 courses for $30 something dollars, but when we got there found
out it was before 6:15, which we didn't realize.
Our service was very good, and truly loved describing the dishes.
It was hard to decide what to order, as he said everything was good.
Our only complaint as I said was that we had hoped for the 3 courses included for the special price. If you love food and are not on a budget this is the place for you.
