“Great for families - even fully grown ones”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

Just spent a few days here with my mom, dad, and boyfriend. My parents have a share with Hilton Grand Vacations and the Intrawest properties are part of it. We stayed in a 2 bedroom on the second floor.

Service - great and accommodating. Michel checked us in and gave is the lay of the land, restaurant recos, overview of Whistler as it was our first time visiting, and more. He could not have been more friendly. We called ahead that morning to see if we could get an early check-in and they were able to do so when we arrived around 2pm. Rhiannon also helped with hike suggestions. Again, very thorough and friendly.

Vacation home - slightly dated furniture and the living room TV was a bit grainy when we watched the World Cup, but overall very spacious and well-appointed. Tons of dishes and cooking necessities and the beds were very comfortable, even the one that my boyfriend and I took which was 2 twins converted into a king. This is a silly point, but the shower was massive which I LOVED. Our living room comfortably held 6 for drinks and chatter and could have held more. AC made the 70s weather very comfortable.

Other property comments - the adults only pool was lovely and never too crowded. Location in the upper village is wonderful. We had never visited Whistler before so didn't know what to expect, but I think the Upper Village is the way to go. You're within walking distance of tons of shops, restaurants, and the Lost Lake trail head, plus it doesn't get as noisy or crowded as lower in the village.

Overall a great spot and we'd definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. It's located in the upper village with easy access to all parts of Whistler Village. Nice one bedroom unit with full kitchen. Appliances were a bit used, but overall unit was in good shape. Staff was great and very courteous and friendly.

Room Tip: We stayed in 312 near the lobby and were surprised but what little noise we heard. The bedroom was l...

We stayed at the end of May. I was so happy to see all the upgrades that are happening, from new carpeting, new mattresses, to the family pool area improvements. The staff was friendly and helpful as always. This location is one of our favorite vacation places and the consistency of the high level of service is one of the reasons. The care with which the property is being maintained and improved is another reason we plan to return for many years to come!

We only stayed one night with another couple in a two bedroom suite but enjoyed our stay. The suite was welcoming and clean. Very homey, on the ground floor with a nice little patio area. The design is well thought out with bedrooms and accompanying ensuites on the opposite sides of the living and dining areas allowing for privacy for each couple. The unit was very clean and we had everything we needed. All the basics are there to cook your own meals. Some of the furniture seemed a bit worn though maybe a few years beyond prime.

We enjoyed the eucalyptus steam room and pool/hot tub the most. Everything was clean and well attended to. There was an exercise room and theatre room too but we didn't get a chance to use those.

We've never stayed at a Club Intrawest before and our understanding is that some are newer and more deluxe than others. We see this as a fun, family orientated facility. Not posh, but very comfortable. It definitely offers enough to keep all ages entertained for their stay.

We stayed at Club Intrawest in June of 2012. My wife traded for the unit on RCI. We had a 2 bedroom unit which was beautiful. Everything was immaculate. My daughters took the 2nd room and our son slept on the sofa bed. Clean, functional kitchen and a large master with both a shower and a jacuzzi tub. Enjoyed sitting on the patio nightly, many times above the clouds, reading. Very peaceful location. Kids enjoyed the arcade even though it was a bit small. Nightly movies and a large library of dvds to check out also. We walked to the lift and did the Whistler/Blackcomb tram. Even took the glassbottom tram back-fun, but not great for those afraid of heights-such as my wife. The sea to sky drive is beautiful with many opportunities to stop and view the beautiful scenery along the way.

The resort was beautiful and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to stop and help when asked. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Haven't reviewed this property for some time but have stayed there a number of times in the past few years. A frequent issue that arises at this property is the lack of air conditioning. Club Intrawest - Whistler has been gradually updating units with A/C and this time we had a unit that was newly equipped.

The A/C units they chose are high-end,quiet Fujitsu systems. They work very well. In fact, most of the time the air quality and temperature was improved simply by keeping the A/C in 'fan' mode allowing the air to sweep up and down during operation. When we did use A/C it was quiet and effective.

I would suggest the Club Management produce a 'cheat sheet' to be left in the units so that members and guests can immediately use the A/C, if needed, without having to fumble through a learning experience.

On another point, our in-suite washing machine gave us some trouble. Staff responded quickly and professionally and fixed things right away. CI Whistler staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful.

Room Tip: CI whistler is an older facility and they are continually updating it (which is good!). In this cas...

We have stayed at Club Intrawest four times in the last 6 years. The Hotel is located in a very quite cul de sac in the Upper Village of Whistler, about a 5 minute walk to the Blackcomb chair lift. Lots of restaurants close by & only a 10>15 minute walk to the main Whistler Village. One Bedroom units are very spacious & nicely decorated, two big screen TV's in unit, as well has full kitchen & all appliances. Wonderful hiking trails for all abilities start within a 5 minute walk from the Hotel. The facilities within the Hotel are adequate, the Fitness Centre needs to be larger with more equipment provided, adult pool is quite small for the size of the Hotel. Staff are knowledge & helpful whenever required. We always enjoy our stay, it's the location that continues to bring us back to the Club Intrawest in Whistler.

Room Tip: Higher floors are definitely better than the ground level if you like to open the windows, which are...
