This was our third winter vacation to Whistler Blackcomb, but just our first stay at Club Intrawest.

We had a two bedroom unit, very spacious for our family of four (two teenagers). Kitchen was well appointed, allowing us to have the flexibility to eat in and could a few home meals. The property is an easy walk to the Blackcomb chair lifts, and the bus stop is just outside the property if you need to take the bus to Whistler chairlifts or over to Whistler shops and restaurants.

We also found it to be an easy walk across to Whistler shops and main supermarket.

Club Intrawest staff were always very friendly and helpful. We will definitely use Club Intrawest again for our next visit.

Relaxing 1-week stay in Whistler at Club Intrawest from November 11-18. First time exchanging a timeshare with this resort. The service was excellent and so was the location. The club is situated next to the Chateau Fairmont in the upper village and is only a 5-10 minute walk to the lower village where you can see some of the 2010 Winter Olympic landmarks. The lower village was a lot busier with more shops and restaurants. There is a small grocery store within the club if you need bread and milk and other small supplies. The one in the lower village has more varieties if you need to stock up. We were in a 2-bedroom unit located near the family pool with the waterslide. We chose this section because we had young children who love the outdoor water slide pool. The adult only pool with the eucalyptic steam room on the other side was just as great. The adult pool and gym openned till about 11 or 11:30 p.m. which was a bonus. The gym was a tad small but had new equipments. Other bonuses include free WiFi, free parking and even free popcorn for the movies.

Our 3rd floor room was a relatively good size, clean and well appointed. The only complaint I would make is the carpet is a bit dated and could use a good steam cleaning after each stay. The furniture was rustic but comfortable. The kitchen was a bit small but fully stocked with everything you need to make your breakfast in the morning and dinner (you can even use the BBQ by the pool to grill). We only had to eat out once or twice. The master bed had a huge jacuzzi and a stand-up shower. The other bedroom had 2 twin beds which came in handy for the kids. Even the sofa bed in the living room was great to sleep on. We even had a complementary maid service in the middle of week, which some resorts do not provide for timeshare exchange without paying an extra fee for room cleaning.

This resort was definitely designed with kids in mind, from the mini movie theatre, video arcade to the waterslide pool. The hallways can be a bit noisy at times, but that's to be expected when kids are having fun. Our 4 kids, ages range from >1-8, found this place more fun than some of the other resorts we stayed at. It would have been even more exciting if mother nature co-operated with more snow on the ground. It wasn't the full winter wonderland we were hoping for, but there was enough snow to create a small hill where the kids could go sliding on their sleds and play snowball fight.

We strolled around the village a lot and playing with the kids in the new playground in the middle of the lower village along with taking pictures of the legacies left behind from the Winter Olympics. Not to mention shopping and eating out in the many restaurants and shops all over the place. We even spotted Trevor Linden (former Vancouver Canucks captain) jogging through the village. We definitely will return again when there is snow to do enjoy some skiing and trying out the winter tubing ride, peak to peak gondola and the other things we couldn't do this time around.

Room Tip: If you have kids choose the family pool section.

We have just arrived for a three night stay, and are ready to get a good start on the ski season tomorrow! Have come for several years and always enjoyed. Easy to get to ski lifts, close walk to amenities. Lots off amenities within the Club, which are great for a family. Front counter staff went out of their way to ensure we got a room near the kids pool tonight. Very happy to be here again!

We enjoyed our stay here however the problem I have is the very poor value you get from purchasing an Intrawest club membership. We purchased 180 points in 2000 for $26,000. The current purchase price is $42,000 When we purchased the membership we were told we could after 6 years sell the membership back to Intrawest at the market value. When I tried to do this 2 years I was told that Intrawest would only repurchase my points at 40% of the best current offer. Plus I had to wait at least 7 years as Iwould be on a waiting list. What we never told was that they only allocate 1% ot the annual club profits to repurchase members points. There is currently a north american class action lawsuit against club intrawest for misleading sales practices. If anyone is interested you can have my membership for best offer.

We have been in the habit of staying here each October for a number of years now. My daughter and I just got home from a 4 night stay and as usual - it was absolutely great. From the moment I step out of the car under the porte cochere and smell the euculyptus scent coming from the nearby steam room, I feel myself relax. The rooms are big and very well appointed, as are the lobby, hallways and indeed the whole resort. My kids have outgrown the family pool and slide area and the arcade, but they still love the movie theatre and just hanging out in the room. We usually end up borrowing movies from the front desk where they have a large selection available. The fitness area is well maintained with good machines, a good sized adult pool and two hot tubs as well as the steam room. Whistler itself is nearly deserted and the fall can be so beautiful in the valley with the trees turning colour. We were there for the first snowfall and it was magical. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: I love the 3rd-5th floors so I'm at a good level to watch the leaves dancing on the quaking aspe...

September can often be a great time to visit BC; often the weather is great and the crowds are gone. That was certainly our experience here at Whistler in late September. The other benefit to staying at the Intrawest is that the prices are lower at this time of year and so are the many restaurants. Great specials on meals and events make it the perfect time to getaway and enjoy the scenery, the hiking and just chilling in a wonderful environment. If we have any complaint at all; there was construction going on (typical of the off season) and the noise was outside our room for a short while on one afternoon. In the end, this just signalled a time for us to be outside enjoying the warm Fall weather.

Room Tip: Going on the off season I would check for any construction and request a room that is as far away as...

We have stayed at Club Intrawest in Whistler on several occasions and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a movie theater with movies running efternoon and evening. There is a kid friendly pool with slides and hot tub and an adult only pool and spa area. The rooms are large, clean very comfortable and well maintained.

Room Tip: If you are not traveling with children then ask for a room that is not located over the children'...
