We stayed at this impressive B & B for 2 nights in August. The room was clear and we enjoyed the public areas for relaxation especially after a long hike. We did have a great time seeing the mountain views here and the Village. It is about a 15min drive to whistler so is a little bit away from things, but close enough that you could be there for dinner or to shop. Alan was a helpful and welcoming host advising on local trails and free parking in the Village. We had a fun time exchanging our traveling experiences. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Inn for one night this summer whilst visiting Whistler. The abode is beautiful throughout, and spotlessly clean. The bedroom was good sized, which included a TV and the bed was very comfy. We had a jacuzzi bath in our room and there's also an outside hot tub which we didn't avail of.

Alan and his wife were perfect hosts - always helpful and courteous, and they made us feel very welcome. They also made a wonderful breakfast for us, which was included in the price. There's also a tea/coffee stand in the living room for guests to help themselves, and some homemade macaroons and biscotti's which were delightful.

We would highly recommend this accommodation, and are planning to go back there this winter.

Note: that the Inn is about a 7 minute drive to Whistler Village - you'd definitely need a car to get there, as it's a little too far to walk.

We started off with a booking at Whistler Mountain House, but they double booked us. Fortunately the owner was able to call around and find us a last-minute cancellation at the Inn at Clifftop Lane.

We were greeted by the owner Alan, who welcomed us and spent a good amount of time showing us around and giving us advice on what to do in and around Whistler. He told us of a fantastic river walk as well as a great BBQ competition happening nearby.

Our room was very well furnished and cosy. The room was immaculately clean, the ensuite was wonderful and we took advantage of the whirlpool tub!

Alan's wife Suleeporn was a joy to meet in the morning and her breakfast was amazing!! We spoke to her for quite a while about her home country of Thailand because we are considering a move there in the near future. She was so friendly and kind.

Overall, it was our best lodging of our entire Rocky Mountain trip and we would highly recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in beautiful Whistler!

My wife and I and another couple have travelled together for the past 5 years, and we tend to stay at B&B’s whenever possible. We selected the Inn at Clifftop Lane largely on reviews that we read on Trip Advisor, and we were not disappointed. The Inn is stylishly furnished- a visual delight. The rooms are nicely sized, the beds are comfortable and there is adequate storage space. Although it was quite warm in Whistler during our stay (mid to upper 80’s) and the Inn does not have air conditioning, the temperature throughout the Inn was comfortable at all times- a tribute both to its shady location and its design. Both Alan and SuLee were affable and gracious hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. In fact, we had to leave the Inn on our departure date prior to the scheduled time for breakfast and Sulee got up earlier than normal to make us a full breakfast before we left.

Heads up - the owner is not flexible with booking accommodations and is very rude! We were planning to stay for 3 nights in August but he insisted that we stay for 4 nights to get the booking reservation due to the busy weekend. We asked for his cancellation policy and he gave us 30 days prior to date (which is not the policy on his website). Since he was not willing to give us the 3 nights, we went ahead and booked it but gave him advanced noticed that we will cancel within his cancellation policy if we found another hotel that would accommodate us for the 3 nights.

About a week+ later, we found another place that would accommodate our needs and called the B&B owner to cancel. We were very polite and apologized several times about the cancellation and even told him that this was something we had talked about while booking the room. We even sympathized with his concerns but the owner became very rude to the point that he hung up the phone on us!!! What business treats their prospective customers this way??? We followed his policies and was courteous to him to only have the owner become very unprofessional and down right rude.

So what would happen if you were staying there and told him you didn't like something about his B&B - would he throw you out on the street??? Be warned!

Really??...We have been operating for 16 years and have had, needless to say, quite a few cancellations for many reasons, health and work issues and the numerous circumstances of life which understandably trump vacations. This person first contacted us in October 2012 for a 4 night stay and periodically throughout the year. At the beginning of July 2013 he telephoned several times and finally booked his stay, though hesitatingly. I pleaded with him not to book if he was planning to cancel as it was a busy event weekend in Whistler, but he insisted to book and did not mention that he planned to cancel if he found something "better". Alas, on the last day he called to cancel, almost 3 weeks later. I did express to him my disappointment and explained to him that a five room B&B property's survival depends on high occupancy during busy times and should not be treated like a 500 room Las Vegas hotel, which always has more rooms. Apparently I must have really offended him, though I was not trying to be rude, he took my expressing myself this way such that he felt it necessary to cause us further damage. Please see all of our reviews which indicate the type of service we happily provide to our guests. Cheers, Alan Sailer.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in early July 2013. It was perfect. Our room was very clean and well decorated. The breakfast and coffee every morning was excellent. Alan and Su Lee even gave us a complimentary very nice bottle of wine. I loved every minute we stayed at this place. They also recomended things to do. Alan also told us of some of the best summer hiking spots. If you go - do the Jofry Lakes hike. It was gorgeous. Thanks again Alan and Su Lee. We hope to see you in the winter some time soon.
