Stayed at this hotel for a 5 night family ski vacation. We had booked two adjoining rooms with 2 queen size beds in each room. Upon arrival in our room we felt the beds looked more like doubles than queens, the bell man mentioned that we were not the first to complain about this...We ended up paying a bit more for an upgrade to a large suite (with a king size bed) and an adjoining double room. The rooms were clean and well maintained.
The spa/hot tub area were quite small and busy -lots of dirty towels and empty beer cans left in pool area. No staff seemed to be around.
The location of the hotel was great and access to slopes easy.

It was extremely loud at night as we could hear everything going on outside. When speaking to the manager of the hotel, she told us that it was more of a security issue versus a hotel issue. The sub par quality of the windows which allows any outside noise to come in is definitely a hotel issue.

Everything about the hotel is mediocre. The service, the rooms, the toiletries, the restaurant. It's fine if you just need a place to crash at night, but you don't want to spend time here.

Dear Amychanvan,

Thank you very much for taking time to provide insights from your recent stay with us at the Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa. Constructive feedback is always appreciated.

I do wish to apologize for the noise disturbances you experienced from outside your hotel room. We are usually very well sheltered from the village pedestrian traffic noise but understand this was not the case during your visit.

I am disappointed we were not able to leave you with a better lasting impression of our hotel as we strive to create memorable experiences for all our guests.

If there is an opportunity where you might decide to return to our hotel, I welcome you to contact me directly so I can personally assist in preparing all aspects of your stay and ensuring your satisfaction.

Sincerely,

Tom Lefkovits

I love this hotel and it is one of the better values in Whistler.

Highlights:
- food and beverage service at pool deck (although I had to request it)
- Whistler Junior Suite is awesome for a couple (who plan to bone)
- Harmony 1 br suite is incredible for hosting (in-suite steam room, 1200 sf)
- good pool and hot tub (when not full of children)
- breakfast buffet is very good (esp when comped) and has smoked salmon
- dog beds available
- fresh baked cookies at check in desk (inconsistent)

Shortcomings:
- check in is too slow when dealing with a "complicated" reservation (multi-room, sep. names)
- South Tower is ghetto (one room was upgraded from north tower to a 1 br suite in the south tower: no view, crappy gas fireplace)
- too family-friendly
- Paris Hilton has forever tarnished the brand's name

Room Tip: pay a little more for a Junior Suite: wood fireplace, kitchen w/ breakfast bar, balcony, awesome

We stayed at the Hilton with our 2 young boys for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The location is great. Right at the top of the village so you are slightly removed from the craziness (especially with weekend club/bar hoppers). The hotel is modern, clean with extremely friendly staff. Check in & out was smooth and fast. Check in is at 4pm and requesting an early check in (noon) was no problem. Also check out is at 11am and our shuttle was to pick us up by 3pm so for an extra $40 we got the room until 4pm. $40 is well worth it. We stayed in the Whistler Jr suite with the buffet breakfast option. The room was amazing. Large with a full kitchen that was well stocked. There is laundry facility on each floor which was actually helpful with the 2 boys. Breakfast was yummy. Overall it was amazing.

Room Tip: Go to Zog's right across from the hotel & order the Cinnamon & sugar beavertail!!! Eat i...

Amazing location, very large and clean room, great pool. The hotel is really the best location, in the center of town. Would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: 1 br room is huge. Sleeps 6.

We stayed in the Hilton for a romantic weekend getaway. It was a great stay! Location was the best- in the middle of the village. There was plenty of attention to detail in the room. We loved the big comfy bed with nice soft sheets and lots of fluffy pillows. There were plenty of towels and a nice big tub with jacuzzi jets.

As we are very value-conscious we did not use room service. It was, not surprisingly, hugely over priced and laden with tax and service charges. Go out for great food, or cook. We had a nice fully ready to go kitchen.

We tried to hook up a laptop to the tv to watch a movie we had downloaded but it was not possible in the room

If you are a value conscious traveller looking for a rare splurge we recommend checking out some other Whistler options. There are other places that are just as nice and are priced more reasonably because they don't carry the brand name.

Room Tip: Ask for mountain-view
