“Friendly, refreshing change from 'bedroom factory' style hotels”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

Stayed at the Adara twice, in April and again in May. It's a smallish (for Whistler) 'boutique' type hotel, and the rooms and bathrooms are a little different decor-wise from your standard hotel room - with lovely spacious walk in showers. Some 'loft apartment' rooms (suites really) also have the bedroom upstairs and a rooftop balcony area where you can sit outside (weather permitting). Beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. We had no issues with noise at all, but we were on the third (top) floor. The rooms have a radio unit which also generates various sound effects to lull you to sleep, which is a nice touch that I'd never seen anywhere else. There is a fridge and coffee maker in the rooms, and fresh coffee and hot breads are available free from the lobby for breakfast. I believe cookies and apples are also put out at various times daily too. The hotel is right in the village centre and only a short walk from the bars, restaurants, shops, and main lifts. The reception and cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful, with the valet parking service a nice touch. There is even a small outdoor pool (not open when we visited) and hot tub (which we did use) that has mountain views - gowns are available in all rooms. All in all you won't regret staying at the Adara, especially considering some of the off season deals available.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the green will be quietest at busy times in the resort

We had the opportunity to spend a long weekend in Whistler recently, and chose Adara Hotel as our base for enjoying the Village. Our choice was perfect.

I was impressed not only with the quality of the rooms (and they are very, very nice!) but also the small-touches around the hotel and lobby that made the stay extra-special, including the cookies, beverages and other treats. Beyond this, there was the French press (compete with JJ Bean coffee beans) in the rooms; Playstation games for the kids; and an outstanding location just steps away from all of the action.

All in all a very pleasant stay in a very nice boutique hotel. We look forward to coming back to Adara this summer at the earliest, and of course on many occasions during the ski season.

It was the party hotel until about 5:00am. If you want to party go there its perfect. If not don't go. The staff doesn't seem to mind the parties as they did nothing about it. Like the hotel, just would not stay again.

Thank you very much for your review. We are sorry that the noise disturbed you. We have security staff who control our building, unfortunately we are not able to control the street noise. We have a great location in the center of the village. One half of the hotel looks onto the village square, with many restaurants and nightlife options, it is at times energetic. The other side of the building looks onto the village green, a quiet square, off the beaten track. For guest who are light sleepers I suggest reserving directly at 1-866-502-3279 and requesting a room facing village green.

We've stayed at this hotel once before and had a great experience and it didn't disappoint the second time! The ultra-trendy and yet cozy atmosphere is unlike other many 'big box' hotels in Whistler. We had the hot tub to ourselves on a busy Saturday evening, there is a french press with good coffee in the room and yummy cookies and cider in the lobby. The location is among the best; close to everything and easy access to lifts. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and for what you pay to park the car yourself at other hotels, there is valet car service, and bottled water was waiting for us in the cup holders at the end of our stay. Down to the details, this is a great hotel, highly recommended.

Love this review! A guest said to me yesterday that because of our freshly baked cookies 'it smells like my mother's place'. I smiled :-)
