“Good but needs an update”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Great staff! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Price was good and we were very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a junior suite!! Room was a really good size and the beds were comfortable. Loved the jacuzzi tub! Carpets need replacing and the couch needs a cover. Lots of stains. The wicker accessories in the room hold a lot of dust and made the room seem dirtier than it probably was. We also had a bottle of body lotion that had previously been opened.

Stayed at the Pinnacle over the Thanskgiving long weekend. This was the first time in Whistler. I booked because it had a jacuzzi, but was very worried before I arrived. The price was very very reasonable and I expected something tiny cramped and old for that amount. Quite the opposite was the case. The room was great!

Location is fantastic - just off the main street so it avoid loud crowd noises. As others have said, the staff were great and helpful.

Our room did not have a balcony, but other than that, I have nothing even slightly negative at all to say. I would not hesitate to return.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Pinnacle Hotel. The room was very nice and unexpectedly had a jacuzzi. The location is right in the center of where you want to be - a block walk in any direction and you will find what you want. Can't say enough about the staff - very helpful - gave us great recommendations for places to eat and see. We will be back.

Room Tip: Just request what you need, if it is available they will accommodate. But ask.

We had been to Whistler before but not with our dog, last time we were in Whistler we wished we had brought him. This time we checked out the hotels on line and we made this place our choice. What a great choice that was!The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very nice as well and very clean.. The park across the street was a great place to walk our dog for his duties , and the shops we went into did not mind our dog either! (try to do that at home) The end less trails around Whistler are great as well .. Next time we go we will stay at least one more night as we ran out of time for all the things to do in this great little town (we stayed two nights) The hotel is located well within walking distance from the shops and to any place to eat or to take out if you want and the best part is that it is located in the quiet side of town, our last visit up here we stayed in the other part of town and the noise was pretty bad .... Would we stay here again?? YES !!!!

Hotel is located just 3 minutes from the main shopping street in Whislter. Garage for Parking is available and they accepted our Tripadvisor voucher for free parking. Staff was very friendly when we checked in. The room was very nice with whilpool, fireplace, air condition, balcony, kitchen, TV and free WIFI. I also liked the design. Tested Laundry facilities in the cellar, 2$ for each use of wasching machine or dryer. We had a very comfortable stay in this hotel!

The hotel is located with easy access from the highway, yet close enough to walk to all major activities, shopping and dining in town. The rooms are clean, up-to-date and well equipped for the price. People have commented on the cramped parking, but we didn't find it any worse than any underground parking garage in an office tower or condo complex. The staff, whether at the front desk or cleaning rooms, are friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

A couple of negatives. We had a corner room facing the street. The layout was awkward - there were no night tables beside the bed, so there was nowhere to put a glass of water, your glasses, etc when you retire for the night. It was unseasonably warm when we were there. We didn't want to use the air conditioning, because it was located two feet from the head of the bed. We tried leaving the door open, but the noise from outside made it difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, the pilot light from the gas fireplace made the room even hotter.

Speaking of noise, Whistler seems to be party central. Even though we thought we were far enough from the nightlife, the noise from the street continued well into the night. Woke up at 3 am to see RCMP and firemen dealing with another guest of our hotel who had over-indulged. No fault of the hotel, but don't expect a quiet night's sleep in Whistler.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel and when checking in received an upgraded room what was a nice present of the very friendly staff. The room was included with everything what is needed. There was even a jaccuzi included in the room. There is only no breakfast included in the stay, but with a kitchen in the room you can make your own breakfast. Supermarket, restaurants, coffeeshops and busstation are close. As well I received discount for the gondola to the top of the Whistler mountains with a big change to see bears. Overall very satisfied with the 2 nights in the hotel.
