“Great value for Whistler”
Reviewed September 22, 2007

Great location, great price ($94), a very comfortable bed with a pillow topper, a balcony, a fireplace, a kitchen and free parking underground. Not recommended for light sleepers (noise from the village way past midnight), older people (lack of elevator and hard to step in whirlpool bathtub). The Internet that I used was $6.95 for an hour of time which I thought was a fair price.

If you plan to eat at the Italian restaurant next door (Il Caminetto), check out their prices before you get seated as they are on the high side ($40 for a 1/2 liter of house red wine as an example).

We also appreciated the washer and dryer on our floor. Would definitely stay there again.

We were pretty happy with our accommodation at the Executive Inn. We were not expecting 5 star and therefore were not dissapointed. We believe we got great value accommodation in a fantastic location. Down fall in the warmer months is that if you have the window open you will probably be woken up by people stumbling home from the pub.

If you are in anyway impeeded in mobility the shower/jacuzzi set up will be very difficult to use, it is basically a very deep jacuzzi that you almost have to climb in and out of to have a shower, let alone a bath. Plus the stairs are steep to lug your suitcases up, but just stay longer and you wont have to lug as often :)

We were very happy with this clean and comfortable accommodation and if we are lucky enough to go back to Whistler we would stay there again.

The Executive Inn was a disappointment from the moment we got there. From the lack of any sort of lobby (it's a narrow hallway passing through the building) to the lack of any sort of amenities or elevator. Good luck getting larger luggage up the steep and narrow staircases. There was internet service (through a separate provider at the bargain price of $20.00 a day! Terrible!) Our room was drab and outdated. The staff were somewhat rude. The only thing this place has going for it is it's location. I would rather spend the extra cash and stay somewhere else.

Don't bother with this hotel.

Like the previous Traveller had commented, the lobby is quite uninspiring. the room that we had was just ok, great bathroom though. Liked the jacuuzi tub for two. And liked the fireplace. The patio was fairly dirty though & I guess the previous guests left an astray full of cigarettes butts on the patio - disgusting! There's no elevators in this hotel so yeah, lugging luggages to the room was an inconvenience.

This hotel has a great location right in the center of the village. Moreover, it has balconies that look over the village walkways which is very quaint. The positives end there.

The room was two levels, with a loft bed up two flights of very steep stairs. The bathroom had the strangest tub/shower I've ever seen and I really should have taken a picture of it to post here. There were no amenities. The room was small, drab and the TV received no reception - only static. There was a kitchen that was ok.

Mostly, this appears to be a great spot for college students to stay - of which there were tons, running up and down the hallways with their many, many, many cases of beer. However, for a more mature patron, this is not the place to stay. Needless to say, we ended up checking out early and going to another hotel.

What a horrible little hotel. The only reason this hotel is still here is because the location. The rooms were okay, but haven't been updated in 10 years. There is no elevator, no pool, no hot tub, and no secure parking. The staff and the General Manager were rude and look-liked they all have been there since the first day the hotel opened its doors. I suggest paying a bit more and staying somewhere that cared about their customers. Even though the rate was low, the level of the hotel and the service was lower. Don't stay here you are wasting your time

Great Value, Great Rooms and Great location. However, I would have to say that the customer service is not consistent. When my wife and I checked in we had the Front Office Manager check us in and she was the most accommodating hotel rep we had ever seen. Really polite and had an answer for every question. She smiled through everything. BUT, after that the staff was terrible. Older gentleman, he was not helpful and basically read his paper while we waited. Upon check out, the man behind the desk who was supposedly the GM was not interested in what we had to say and seemed to try to get us out of there as soon as possible. The only way I would stay again is if she was the only one my wife and I saw.
