“Thank you to the Front Desk Concierge and the Crystal”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

I would like to thank Richard Kembel and Kyle Ranton of the front desk at the Crystal Lodge. Upon arrival they were so accommodating with making my Girlfriend and I feel welcome and warm. Richard was kind to make us a quick reservation at the Keg in the Village before we headed to our room, It was my girlfriends birthday and she was excited to see that the Front desk had prepared a nice welcome card greeting her a Happy Birhday and a nice little box of choclates from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Richard was so accommodating with sending us up to the room with nice cozy slippers and helped prepare a surprise birthday dessert for when we arrived back to the room after dinner. Thanks so much you guy's at the Crystal keep up the great work.

Very close to main Gondola, with lots of bars and restaurants on doorstep. Perfect location for après ski! Service and welcome are first class. Stayed in Room 306, a 'traditional' double which was ok for the price, but really needed updating as did the bathroom. The cleaners were very obliging and would service the room on request. The ski storage service was brilliant and made an early start perfectly painless. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast in Rics grill great value and friendly staff. There was some noise pollution in the early hours, not helped by the rooms single glazed windows. The noise generated by the in room fridge meant we disconnected that the 1st night to get some peace. It sounds like a list of complaints, but I would recommend this hotel and will probably stay again, just remember to bring some ear plugs and you'll enjoy you're stay here a lot.

Roxanne, thank you for your feedback following your recent Whistler adventure. I am pleased to read that you appreciated the convenience of the Crystal Lodge and that you enjoyed our daily, après-ski hot apple cider in the lobby. I am sorry to hear that the air handling system in your room caused some disruption and would advise that in the future to ask one of our team for assistance with this so that we can either fix the unit or find the ideal setting for you. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again in in the near future.
Warm regards,
Ian Lowe

We've been return visitors to The Crystal Lodge for some years now and they provide a consistently high quality service. We picked it because it was central so some reviewers do mention noise levels can be a nuisance - just ask for a room at the back and this should easily remedy this and what you have to remember is the hotel is 'at the centre of it all', people are on holiday and they make a little noise when they're having a great time. It's location is ideal if you hate carrying ski's (they have free storage at the bottom of the slope in the Carleton Lodge) so you can go for a well-deserved beer as soon as you're down the mountain, all restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance, front of house staff are helpful and will ensure you get the best from your stay.

My husband, Boston Terrier and I stayed here for Friday and Saturday night in February. This place is close to everything. Feels like you are in the midst of a lovely marketplace/bistros and not a hotel at all. Friendly quick check-in and loved that you can drop your skis at racks at end of day. They put them in the locker for you. Our room, 106, was the perfect size for us and our dog. Would have been tight with kids! If you like high end finishings in a bathroom and lots of space, this place is not for you. If you like cozy, warm, CENTRAL, friendly, fun location - stay here! Only downside was Saturday night I could hear a bit of the bass from the restaurant bar. But it stopped at midnight, so would not bother those turning in later than I did. Common Hot tub was lovely.

Mackenzie, thank you for your recent review of the Crystal Lodge. I am pleased to read that you, your husband and Boston Terrier were treated exceptionally well. With over 20 retail stores, and restaurants located under our shared roof making up a large portion of the main Village Stroll we are indeed only steps away from almost everything Whistler has to offer. I am pleased that you enjoyed our traditional double room. In the future if you are looking for a more contemporary designed room with additional living space yet with the same cozy, warm feeling, I would recommend you review our North Wing rooms product. We look forward to welcoming all three of you back again soon.
Warm regards,
Ian Lowe

We have just spent 12 days at Crystal Lodge, which was the last part of our 7 week travel. What a brilliant experience.
The Hotel was perfectly situated. Access to the main Mountain Gondolas, shops and eateries were only a short and enjoyable walk away.
The Deluxe Studio was everything we had researched. (We did this online and at Ski expos in Brisbane Australia) Clean, spacious, practical and comfortable. (Especially the king bed) It was also immaculately serviced on a daily basis. The robes, which were extremely warm, were fantastic when walking to the spa or sauna.
Lastly, but most importantly, was the staff. From the front desk to the chamber staff, we had nothing but outstanding service. Everything was done with a smile, and nothing was a chore for all the incredibly courteous Crystal staff.
A special mention must however go to Caitlin on the front desk. She has to be the most helpful person in BC. (A great asset to Crystal Lodge)
Thanks for a wonderful stay. And YES, we will be back.

Room Tip: Room 268 is a Deluxe Studio away from any noise.

'Jester716', first off I would like to say how jealous I am of your 7 week escape to North America. We are so pleased that the Crystal Lodge provided the 'icing on the cake' for this adventure. I will be sharing your comments about our team and Caitlin specifically with all of our employees. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
Sincerely,
