The Crystal is in a fabulous location. Minutes from the gondolas and in the centre of all the shops and restaurants. The staff is super friendly. Very quick to respond to any little issue. The restaurants and bar are very warm and inviting. Hot tub and pool area are great.

Room Tip: Rooms are all good size and are well sound insulated.

Got a big bedroom suite w/ a loft on the new section of the lodge, for a full week! Very happy w/ the suite. Housekeeping was excellent. Enjoyed the hot tub every afternoon. The lodge may need to have another hot tub as the only one really gets too full!! Also they don't exchange your US$ for Canadian quarters if you want to use the laundry machine, so that was surprisingly so inconvenient. But overall, the front desk staff was great! Highly recommend Crystal Lodge.

A very comfortable and convenient place when skiing Whistler. Has a free ski check and short walk to the lifts. It's very central in the village. Has a convenient drop-off at the lobby and parking below, for an additional charge.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the village (front) would be more pleasant than the rear service area.

We stayed mid-week (M-F) at the start of April for some spring skiing. The location in regards to the lifts is fabulous, just a short walk in ski boots. The noise from the village is an issue if you're a light sleeper. There seems to be newer and older parts to this property and we were in an older part (hence the great rate), so beware of that when making your booking.

Room Tip: If possible avoid suites that look down onto the village stroll.

Sandy, thank you for caring enough about our business to complete a review of the hotel following your recent experience. The Crystal Lodge is made up of our North (suites, larger floor plans), and South (hotel style rooms) Wings. We offer discounted rates for mid-week stays in both wings year round. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Everything is within literally 5 min walk from Crystal Lodge (Ski lift, Bars, Coffee, Restaurant, Grocery/Pharmacy). The staff were friendly and helpful - in particular ski valet. The hot tub, though a bit small, is a relaxing way to wind down after a day at the slopes. The hotel feels new, clean and overall comfortable. So why is it not 5/5? The standard rooms are very small, not sure fitting a king-sized bed made much sense. Also they face the village stroll with all the bars which means it can get a little noisy in the early hours. Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable so it's a bit annoying just when I am trying to decide where to go for dinner on TA!

All in all good value for money if location is important and you want something decent but not luxurious. Whilst I don't regret staying here, personally I'd go somewhere else on my next visit. Not that I don't like Crystal Lodge itself, but I don't mind sacrificing location for bigger rooms and peace at night. If you are worried about long walks in ski boots, some ski rentals next to the ski lifts offer free storage.

Room Tip: Rooms not facing village stroll

Thank you for your recent review of the Crystal Lodge. If you are looking for a room with a larger floor plan, I would strongly recommend the Deluxe King or Queen Suites or even the Queen Murphy suite. All three of these room types are available on both the Village Stroll side of the hotel as well as the quiet courtyard side. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Kind regards,
Ian Lowe

We booked a 2-family trip with older children (9-11 yr. olds.) The location was right in the heart of the village and just steps away from the gondolas. The staff was friendly, from the time we booked through reservations until our check-out time. The front desk staff was always available and more than willing to answer questions. The kids enjoyed the pool area after snowboarding, but it was a bit small. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was efficient. There was a bit of noise at night on the village stroll due to late-night outers/partiers. We upgraded to a larger room for a nominal fee, which allotted us a very large room with two queens and a pull-out sofa. Very worth the upgrade! Will return again for sure. Thanks Crystal Lodge for making our first visit to Whistler so memorable.

Location couldn't be better as it's located right in the heart of the village and literally 5 min. walk to the lifts. We booked the family package which included $50 Old Spaghetti Factory G/C, free movie rental/parking and late check out. We were a little hesitant to pay over $300 per night for a deluxe room that wasn't even a suite. But when we showed up, we decided to upgrade to a king bed with balcony for an extra fee and it was totally worth it!. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The outdoor pool was located right beside a bar which made it a little awkward seeing drunk people in our robes with our kid. But no big deal....didn't affect the overall experience. Lucky for us the Sauna was empty so we spent a good amount of time in there. Every staff member, especially the housekeeping made the experience pleasant and enjoyable. The onsite restaurant: Ric's Grill was amazing...Filet Mignon is highly recommended. You can be prepared to pay over $150 for dinner for 2 but you can expect perfection. We also ordered room service breakfast from the same restaurant and it was delicious. Nothing negative to say about this hotel. They do everything right. Day 1 snowboarding, Day 2 lounging. Perfect weekend getaway for locals.

Room Tip: If your picky like me, book a deluxe room or pay for the upgrade. If you think the fee is expensive...
