We love Nagomi and have been going there since they opened. We make several visits each time we are in Whistler. The fish is always fresh and delicious. There is always something new on special and definitely worth trying. Hats off to Speedy, Shizuo and the gang at Nagomi. They are always so friendly and welcoming.

Having read some of the other less than glowing reviews I must admit I was concerned when we finally decided on Nagomi Sushi for our last meal in Whistler/Blackcomb. What finally got me over the line was the photos, the food just looked more inviting than the other Japanses options. My decision was confirmed also by comparison of the menus.
Starting with the booking, we had no problems, we simply walked up and a made a booking in person for a few days later. I am sure we could just have easily phoned in our booking.
On arrival we were met at the door, quickly and efficiently seated at a two seat table by a window.
Our server followed up promptly with water and was very relaxed with us and encourage us to relax and take our time.
The food quality was excellent, the hot Sake very good and my wife's Strawberry Sake Margarita properly made with crushed ice (unlike some other venues that lazily used whole cubes).
The cost was not only very reasonable for Whistler/Blackcomb but I believe very competitive with what we would pay at home. The range and choice was far more extensive than we have available at home for any similar priced Japanese.
We would definitely come back.

We are far from the sea, high in the mountains and usually that is a strong indicator that we should avoid the sushi and head for the beef. But Nagomi beckons a second look. After many visits spread over several years and never being disappointed with the freshness and quality of all the menu items, it is time to endorse this gem. The tables are small and closely spaced, but there may be room at the counter; on a Saturday we made a successful reservation only 10 minutes before arrival. It is important to note that the staff are professional and very friendly, and many have worked there for years. Our waitress on this visit knew all the menu thoroughly and had an opinion on everything: I mean everything. We stuffed our faces with sushi and garnered an unusually gentle bill; so uncharacteristic of Whistler.

If in Whistler, you MUST visit Nagomi Sushi. True to Japanese origins, sushi in this place is really good! Focus on taste, fresh quality products. You might find rolls and nigiris fall a bit apart, but taste is just perfect.
Cherry on top? Pricing is very reasonable. Service is good (well, you know canadians are always nice)...
The owner is the Chef.
On a 5 day trip, we visited Nagomi twice!

We enjoyed a good meal for two for CAD33 each (including tip). The restaurant is relatively small so reservations are recommended.

Service was friendly

Food was particularly tasty and there were a wide range of food choices on the menu. I particularly enjoyed the trio of mushrooms dish.
