Definitely would stay again
Coast Blackcomb suites were a fantastic place to stay. TRULY ski in ski out. Located alongside Wizard Express chair meant we'd collect our skis from the ski storage area, put them on outside then ski down to the chair start. When we'd had enough skiing we'd just ski down the mountain & right back in to the storage area.
We saw a lot of places that were advertised as ski in/ski out that would only have been so on very rare occasions!
There's a free shuttle bus to get to/from the village which runs every 10-15mins all day until 130am.
The buffet breakfast was great and included in the room cost, though sometimes the servers had trouble keeping food restocked to keep up with demand eg on long weekend. Seating was crowded but we were very happy to eat in our room, which was allowed.
We were occasionally woken by people in the room above us thumping around in ski boots early in the morning (around 530am) or at other times by people being noisy in the stairwell (our suite was next door to stairwell)
Only things that really bugged me were the low level of lighting in the bedrooms and lounge area, and the hardness of the bed.
Free wireless internet was a definite plus.

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Whistler. The staff was very friendly, our suite was clean and perfect for the two of us - nice little kitchen and seating area. The free breakfast was good each morning. Being able to walk out the door and hit the slopes was a huge plus, along with the ski shop on site to rent from and/or store your skis each day. The shuttle to and from the village was for the most part timely and a quick way to get down to all of the shops and restaurants.

The pool & hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day and meet other guests at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again if we head back for another ski trip.

A fabulous place to stay! Couldn't have asked for a better location. Slope side and no walking in ski boots! Free shuttle bus right outside the front door - 7 minutes to the Village.
Rooms were lovely and clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was quiet even though we were near the elevator, it was not a problem. Ski rental on site! yea!
Highly recommend! Great vacation.

This is a great hotel for early season skiing, when they keep the prices low. I rented a 2 bedroom suite, staying with 3 other guests and it was impressive value-for-money. Rating the hotel overall, it isn't anything special, but then it doesn't try to be. Quality, hassle free service, complimentary breakfast, and spacious suites; all great value-adds for the hotel.

Had I booked this suite later in the season, when room rates quadruple... literally, I would have been less impressed with the "rustic" nature of the hotel. Value for money really is the key here.

Although this property has a great ski-in, ski-out location, it is a little off the beaten track for pedestrian access to the village. It has nice pool/ hot-tub facilities if you're into that, and the suites have full size kitchens (or at least mine did), assumingly because the nearest restaurant is more than a desirable walking distance away.

Pick the right time to stay at this hotel. You can either get fabulous value for money, or be rather disappointed in it.

Room Tip: Early season value-for-money. Best time to stay

Our Studio hotel room was exactly as pictured on their website. A queen size bed, ful service kitchenette, fireplace, and a small balcony off the bedside. Unfortunately, our room was on the 3rd floor-which is actually at ground level-so we had a really spectacular view of a snow-covered rock with some trees (that was sarcastic). It would have been nice to be a little higher!

The complimentary continental breakfast was pretty good as far as continental breakfasts go...I loved being able to make Belgian waffles every morning! They also had a limited selection of (fairly sugary or totally bland) cereals, a good assortment of pastries, porridge, boiled eggs, and a good assortment of breads. The food was exactly the same every day, and the fruit available consisted of green apples, bananas, and oranges. Breakfast time could be pretty busy, but we were always able to find a seat somewhere. You also have the option of bringing your food back to your room.

We really enjoyed the ski-in ski-out feature of this hotel, but would consider staying in a more central location if we return. The Coast Blackcomb is the topmost hotel on Blackcomb mountain, but it's on the farthest side of Blackcomb compared to Whistler mountain. If you want to explore both mountains equally, it just takes a little time getting from place to place.

There was also a very convenient ski storage room when you ski in or out of the hotel. All equipment is stored by hotel employees, by room number. The storage room is open 7AM - 10PM and is always guarded by at least one employee. At peak times (first chair, last chair) you might have to wait a few minutes to get your equipment, but the system works fairly well.

Finally, we REALLY enjoyed the FREE SHUTTLE by BC Transit from our hotel to Whistler Village. Because the hotel is at the top of Painted Cliff Road, it is a fair distance from the Village if you wanted to walk. We took the bus into the village for dinner, but we also used the bus as a lift back to the hotel after a long day of snowboarding. Very cool.

Room Tip: Higher floors with an odd number look down the mountain (even number rooms look at the mountain...no...

The Coast Blackcomb is ideally located it offers a ski in ski out access to the mountain, also the rental shop where we hired and stored our ski's is also part of the hotel. The rooms are a decent size, clean with comfatable beds, and a small kitchenette with a fridge, cooker and dishwasher. The hotel provides a continental type breakfast of various breads, cereals, pastries, wafles etc but nothing in the way of bacon or cold meats, but adequate enough to give you a good start to the day. The hotel is situated outside Whistler Village but can be accessed via a 10 min bus ride (regular buses form outsie the hotel every 15 mins) or a 20 min walk. All the hotel staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel also offers 2 great hot tubs and a heated swimming pool.
