this really is true ski in ski out.
pick up your skis from the rental shop and straight onto a relatively easy (not for complete beginners) slope down to the lifts.
we had a family trip and rented 3 rooms - two single room suites and one one-bedroom suite - so we had somewhere a bit bigger to congregate.
Each had cooker, microwave, dishwasher, pans utensils to do as much self catering as you wanted.
There was a launderette on each level, and a small shop by reception for milk, coffee, essentials etc.
The beds were good, the rooms comfortable and beautifully kept by the housekeeping staff. Only criticism of the rooms was the slightly gloomy choice of colours - a small point in an otherwise immaculate room.
The problems with breakfasts being overcrowded seem to have vansihed because there are now two rooms to eat in, and guests are encouraged to take breakfast back to rooms if they want.
Fresh fruit, fresh waffles, toast coffee, juices etc - everything you need as long as youre not addicted to bacon and eggs!
At the end of the day, you ski back in , leave your skis at the rental shop (dont have to rent to do this), then into a hot tub or warm swim. Also at this time free coffee, tea and cakes are laid on.
There is an underground car park. In some previous reviews i have read that access is difficult. We rented a HUGE 8 seater 4WD from avis - the biggest passenger vehicle they do, and there was no problem. As regards previous criticisms about finding the location - its on the map, on the sat nav, and if you drive up painted cliff road, its at the end!
With a free bus service down to the village every 15 minutes, this combines a reasonable and comfortable stay in a quiet ski in/ ski out location with convenience for dining out etc using the bus.
My only criticism was that although room maintenance was excellent (faulty bulbs changed immediately etc, one lift was broken down for the whole week which caused some queueing - although never for more than a few minutes.
we'll come again when we next visit our son there.

Room Tip: rooms at the front hear the bus and the snowplough which comes round between 5 and 6.

Would have been nice to know right away where the hotel was. Original email only showed reservation status, no hotel information or details were provided until the next day. A Bit unnerving. Hotel was nice and comfortable. Been difficult to find if you don't know where you are going in Whistler. Rooms were enjoyable, although thin walls. So can hear people all around you.

Absolutely a ski ou ski in hotel, right onto a fairly easy trail. Rooms are very good, comfortable, ample facilities. Breakfast is included and is substantial - you don't need bacon and sausages every day. the pool and hot tub area are clean and tidy in a great setting under a chairlift!
There are negatives - not good for beginners, no bar or restaurant so you have to cook for yourself or go out with the bus, or drive. However, we found the ease of taking the skis from the store to the slopes more than compensated any disadvantage, and it was also very quiet at night.

Room Tip: I think they might all be good!

The price is good and the rooms are fabulous for a family or even for couples.

Everything is available to cook full meals for lunch or dinner if you are not wanting to go out. There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel, but they provide a free bus to get in and out of town every 15 minutes, or you can walk down the mountain on the slope in the evening for dinner.

There is a laundry on each floor, which is great for families travelling.

An excellent breakfast is provided each day before you head out to the ski fields in winter, or in summer to the fun activities Whistler/Blackcomb has to offer.

The best thing for winter is the ski in, ski out facilities!!

This hotel is in Blackcomb, not in Whistler village, but it is an easy 15 min walk to Whistler village, and in Blackcomb Village, there are a few very nice restaurants to eat at. You can get the bus to either if you want, or you walk.

Room Tip: The studio apartment rooms that are slightly bigger than the standard studios finish in room number...

This is a repeat visit to the Coast Blackcomb Suites (CBS) and again the hotel rewards those staying there. A true ski in and ski out location (many at Whistler say they are but are not!) you are located on Blackcomb mountain alongside their runs. CBS offers comfortable rooms and a great free breakfast that has something for everyone. From make-your-own-waffles to fresh fruits, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, breads and juices there is something for everyone and a great way to start the ski day. Staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms are nicely finished. We had a 1-bedroom with kitchenette and it had all the utensils needed and provided a sound cooking experience. Bathrobes in the room keep you warm on your way to the outdoor pool and two hot tubs and a coffee maker with 3 pouches of coffee (I mention this as The Legends at Creekside gives you one pack of coffee for your stay!) to warm up to after skiing.

All skis are kept in a staffed storage locker where you can rent and as well get repairs and wax done for the for skis/boards. Staff there are great and friendly and you exit the storage room and walk about 10 steps to the run.

Parking is about the only negative as they take take to the seas in an act of piracy charging you $23/night - and that doesn't include a car wash either!

All in all a great place to come and stay, super easy access to the runs at Blackcomb and I will be coming back again.
