“Golden Golf Day”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Played here today and the weather was stunning! Cost a fair amount to play and we were teamed up with 2 Korean Gents who spoke hardly any English which was a shame! The course was in lovely condition and the greens were tricky! The back nine holes seemed to have an awful lot of water either off the tee or as approach shots to the green, so lost a few balls!! But other than that it was a lovely day on a splendid course!

“Spectacular golf and scenery in the sunshine”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

An amazing experience in the BC mountains overlooking the iconic ski resorts at Blackcomb and Whistler mountain. The sun shone brightly and the course was a huge challenge, building to a tremendous finale over the last few holes alongside a picture postcard lake. The course and particularly the greens were in excellent condition, it is a shame that this place is only open 6 months a year because of the Canadian winter.
A few areas prevented this course getting an excellent rating:
1. The green fee was expensive and yet the carts ( at extra cost) did not have GPS.
2. We booked as a two ball and yet got paired with two others. No problem but my wife found life difficult playing with two guys. We could have been told beforehand rather than on the first tee.
3. The 12th hole was a nearly impossible par 3, and out of character with the rest of the course which although challenging still gave you a chance.

“Great course”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Really nice but for the price course should have GPS. On a few holes, there was lots of construction noise. Otherwise, beautiful course with great scenery.

“Wow, what a place!”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

Played a fall afternoon round and it was amazing. The layout was very interesting, every hole was unique and fun. Nicklaus loves to give room off the tee and I needed it. Great greens, lots of bunkers. Beverage cart girl was epic, so fun and energetic. Great patio area for after the round.

“Nice course and enjoyable”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

My wife and I played both this course and Fairmont Chateau Whistler. I did enjoy Nicklaus and would play again, but Fairmont was my favorite because of the views and staff. Not that I can say anything negative about the staff at Nicklaus, just seemed the Fairmont folks were a little more friendly and ready to help. Also I rented clubs and thought the sleeve of "Noodles" was a little on the cheap side for what the rentals and round of gold cost.
