We rented a one-bedroom suite for a 11-day trip to Whistler during Spring break in March.
I would definately recommend this size of accomodation for anyone taking a break in Whistler who wants to be able to look after themselves and prepare their own food, and also be able to chill out in front of the TV/fire and to have a separate bedroom. Alternatively, the bar downstairs is a great place to relax and enjoy a post-ski drink.
We found the suite clean and tidy (we had a daily maid), with everything working and in good condition. It was quiet, although we were on the back of the west wing. We also found all the hotel staff friendly and accomodating and felt well-looked after the whole time. it's location is also great, just minutes from the gondola base and all the town's amenities.
We only had 2 small gripes: the ski valet is expensive and the rooms should have free wifi as the daily room rate is high (if you opt for that). That said, the coverage in the communal parts of the hotel was good (and it was an excuse to go to the bar!).
If we come back to Whistler to ski again, we'll definately stay here.More
