The only thing that is good about this park with a pond is the free shuttle service that runs from the village. I also found that this was a rather busy swimming pond.

The car park has been made in to a drop-off area only. So if you do have a car it is inconvenient. Unfortunately, the Municipality of the Resort of Whistler has recently decided to decrease tourism by charging for parking in most of their day lots. Currently the closest lots to The Village (Lots 1, 2, and 3) are $12 per day. The other lots farther away from The Village are still free, but from the looks of it there are plans to charge at all lots at a future date. So to get to the Lost Park with no fuss or fees, you have to park in lots 4-7 (or on Blackcomb Blvd which has a 2 hrs limit) and hike to the bus stop to grab the free shuttle.

One place I can suggest, if you find transportation (there is no bus service) is Rainbow Park on Alta Lake. There is a very nice view of the mountains across the lake and it is well worth the trek to get there.

A somewhat boring trek brings you to green lake lookout where you stand underneath sizzling high tension power lines looking over a lake and listening to traffic on the other side.

First day at Whistler we walked about 3 hours around the trails, it was so gorgeous, fresh air, and the scenery was just stunning. It was very relaxing. Lots of biking and hiking to do here. A must see.

On the first day in Whistler, I walked the trails, including the one around Lost Lake. It is a gorgeous, small mountain lake surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. It really was like a postcard. The next day, I rode my bike around the trails and got to have fun a variety of routes, including everything from easy, flat, paved trails to narrow, rocky, dirt switchbacks and hidden paths. It was great! On my last day, I jogged through the park during the morning, around 7 when most people were still eating breakfast. I passed a few friendly joggers with their dogs and cyclists, but it was still very peaceful, cool and majestic. You could definitely take the kids out there to swim and picnic or hike and then cool off in the lake. It is well maintained, clean and I saw staff around each time I went. There are bathrooms, trash cans, picnic tables, a bike rack to lock up your bike and also a concensions stand there, but it wasn't open any of the days and times I went, so I'm not sure if they are just seasonal or open on the weekends only.

Within walking and biking distance of Whistler Village. A great little lake for cooling off in the summer. Very scenic surroundings.
