In my view, one of the nicest places to stay in Whistler. Located at the top end of the main village it has direct access to both mountains. It is easy walking distance to most places of interest in and around the village. We stayed at a lower level (4th floor) studio suite with a pull-down Murphy bed. It is an ingenious design, which left quite a bit of room and comfort, in a relatively small studio. For 2 people very comfortable & cozy. For 4 people (there is also a sofa bed) it would be pretty cramped. It is not for the physically frail, as you have to pull down the bed at night and put it back up, if you want it out of the way for breakfast. You can leave it down and the maids will put it back up, when they do the room. You also have to watch your fingers when lowering the bed to the floor, since there are no legs or knobs at the top edge to leave a gap when putting the bed down on the floor. Something they may want to look into.
The Murphy bed is peculiar to the studio suites only, as far as I know. The hotel rooms and larger suites have regular beds.
There is a beautiful and well equipped kitchen to do your own cooking. Nice bathroom too.
The suite was impeccably clean and nicely appointed. There is a pool & 2 hot tubs facing the mountain where you can watch the skiing or mountain biking action. There is a nice Irish pub down stairs and several more bars next door. The area outside is a bit loud at night, with noise and music coming from those bars and from passers by. However the windows and patio doors are sound proof and completely block out the outside noise.
The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful, with information on current Whistler events and on some good hiking trails.
We will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in a room with a bed in the wall, sofa, kitchenette including dishwasher and balcony- more than we expected! It was great to have the kitchen facilities. The pool and heated spa facilities were a bonus- as was the sighting of a bear from our bedroom window! I could live here quite happily!

To start they are located right at the base of Whistler mountain which is the start of the lower village which is where most of the action is anyways.

The front desk staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.

The room was almost a square shape, with a Murphy bed and pull out sofa bed. The balcony was good for one person only but the view of the mountains was pretty. Other rooms seemed to have bigger balconies. We had a small but well equipped kitchen.

With a 5 year old, the heated outdoor pool was a big deal. There are two hot tubs as well as a eucalyptus scented steam room.

Joining the rewards club got us free water, Internet and newspaper.

When we checked out, we asked to leave our car in parking a little longer. When we got back, it was parked out front with all our luggage already loaded for us! We were very impressed.

The Irish Pub has good breakfast food downstairs with Irish staff.

We stayed there on a third night free deal. Overall, we were very impressed with the Pan Pacific Mountainside.

An apparently very nice all suite hotel in a predominantly traditional Alpine Style, with an excellent Irish pub/restaurant, brilliantly located overlooking the piazza in front of the Whistler & Blackcomb Gondola's and chair lift base stations.

Friendly staff, but disappointingly having requested a twin bedded mountain-view room, we got the mountain view in a one bedroom suite incorporated a single king size bed, with a second bed in the form of a fold down sofa unit in the lounge area.

Unfortunately, the double bed was excessively hard on the one hand, whilst the mattress on the sofa bed had little substance against the sub-frame of the fold down unit, provided little support, resulting in much discomfort for our two night stay, not least because we needed to switch off the noisy air-conditioning with its outlet in the lounge - despite the very hot weather.

Unfortunately, our last night was also disturbed by excessive noise from the external swimming pool and sauna, which we overlooked and which was utilised by an Asian family with young children, who spent the latter hours of the evening running, jumping, shouting and shrieking, only to be followed by white youths, who similarly disturbed the night until the early hours.

A decent nights sleep makes for more enjoyable days and I reasonably believe the hotel should operate policies which ensure the behavior of all guests using the premises is conducted in a manner which does not intrude upon the amenities of their neighbours, particularly late at night.

Room Tip: If you require more than one bed, don't rely on the fold down sofa unit to provide a second bed...

Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback. For your next visit to Whistler I would suggest one of our spacious Two Bedroom Mountain View Suites featuring a King Size bed w/ ensuite bath, Queen Size Bedroom and Queen Size sofabed. Alternatively our Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre location may offer a more relaxed and quiet setting. Thank you again for your feedback as it helps us to enhance our performance by always aiming higher.

Very nice hotel, great location right beside the chair lift and on the village walk.rooms were clean and comfortable great pool with lots of sun.we go in the summer to whistler to mountain bike ,there is good bike storage and access to trails is probably best from this hotel.we would definitely stay here again.the hotel parking is expensive,we parked the car in a free public area about 5 minute walk from hotel which is fine, you don't need your car there anyways everything is within walking distance.

Room Tip: Rooms at both ends of the hotel have the best views and largest balconies

We returned to the Pan Pacific for a 3-night stay. Our room was comfortable (one-bedroom), with nice amenities. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Nice pool. Booking was completed via Expedia and we benefited from a 3rd night free. While we did not benefit from a mountain view, the views towards Blackcomb mountain was good. On the downside: sofa bed (where our daughter slept) wasn't very comfortable. Wi-Fi internet was also slow. Parking fee of $28 per night was not advertised anywhere and was a surprise for us. Despite these few negative items, we will come back.
