“Perfect place for a family vacation!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in February. My husband and I could not get over how perfect it all was. The location can be beat, right at the gondolas for both Blackcomb and Whistler as well as Whistler Kids drop off for our boys ski lessons. The room was a nice size, great kitchen, nicely appointed, all that I could ask for. The ski storage is so convenient. The hot tubs and pool that over look the base of the mountain are fantastic. The pub downstairs has great food and a fantastic atmosphere. Room service was fast, and good food. I could go on and on. But what really made it amazing was the staff - super friendly and quick to take care of things. If I had a complaint it was the snow plows on the street could be heard thru the windows. But all I kept thinking was - WOW that's a lot of snow, it's going to be great skiing tomorrow.

Room Tip: pick a room on the mountain side to avoid the noise from the snow plows.

Great location. Ski in and Ski out by the base of the gondola. Ski storage room is conveniently located on the main floor beside Affinity sports (and on the way out from elevators to the ski chair).

Stayed in a Studio suite facing the mountains. Awesome view! However we could hear the night time crowds when we opened the door to the balcony on a Friday night. Suite is well equipped (stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher with some utensils) but quite small. When the queen murphy bed and queen sofa bed were opened up, they were almost touching each other. Parking was $28+ tax per night. Free wifi in the room was a treat !

Nothing beats the location!

Overall great hotel. Enjoyed wonderful service with convenient location right beside 2 main gondolas. Only minus would be limited in-hotel dining and gym but very close to many other dining options. I would recommend this hotel highly.

This has got to be the best ski vacation Hotel in Whistler. Gondola is literally on the property. A beautiful pub serves perfect après ski fare on the property before adjoining to the ridiculous pool and hot tub upstairs standing above the village and base of the mountains. The room has a kitchen that enabled us to cook breakfast to save a few bucks and get on the hill faster. Planned to cook dinner as well...but the pub got in the way, fish and chips were excellent. The team at the front desk nailed it, the rental tech in the Salomon shop (again on the property) nailed it too. This hotel delivered!

The hotel is very nice, and not as big as some of hotels I've stayed at in Vail. There is a great restaurant which has live band every afternoon and evening. I had the eggs Benedict for breakfast and it was fabulous. There is free Wi-Fi as well as a secure, heated locker room for ski equipment! There are also two ski rental stores within hotel. We are in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite with two TVs, unfortunately, the second bedroom does not have tv. But there is small kitchen, which I love. I hate to eat out every meal.

This is the place to stay if on a ski holiday in Whistler. It is excellent. My wife and I had a 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor for 10 nights. It's a little more expensive than the lower floors I think but was just great. It had great heating, a small balcony if you want some fresh air, 2 TV's (one in the living room, 1 in the bedroom), a kitchenette that was more than adequate if you decide not to go to a restaurant, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a filter coffee machine, clothes washing facilities on level 2 that were simple to use. There is a steam room, a gym (if you need it after skiing all day), 2 spa pools and a warmish swimming pool, where you can view the mountain from.
From the doors of the Pan Pacific Mountainside it took 40 steps to get to the Blackcomb gondala. They have lockers near the entrance to store your skis.
The staff don't pester you at all but are helpful with any questions you might have and offer suggestions as things to do if you are not skiing for the day.
There is a ski rental shop inside the hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the Blackcomb village which was probably quieter than overlooking the swimming...
