“Perfect Hotel, Staff and Location!”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

Stayed 3 nights there as part of a tour of BC. This hotel was one of the highlights of the holiday. The staff are friendly professional and very helpful. The rooms are modern and very well equipped.

You really can't find a better location in Whistler, it actually overlooks the mountainside and lifts, and you can see both Whistler and Blackcomb from the heated pool and hot tubs.

Handy shops attached and an Irish Bar. This hotel gets 5/5 in every category.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountainside view, well worth the extra!

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was our first time staying here as we usually do vacation rentals. Hotel was easy to locate and check-in was really easy. We opted out of the valet parking even though it wasn't at extra cost. One thing about parking is that it is $25 per night. There is probably cheaper parking but not sure where.
We stayed in a studio suite facing the mountain. Had great views from our balcony of the lifts and mountain bikers coming down. Kitchenette was well equipped. Really nice Aveda products in the bathroom. Take advantage of the comfy robes in the closet and call the front desk to ask for some comfy slippers too! The only thing that bothered us was how hard the Murphy bed was but that's based on personal preference.
The hotel is nicely located. Lifts are right outside and village is right there as well. Walk about 5 minutes and there is a small supermarket. Walk a bit further down there is a bigger and cheaper supermarket as well as liquor store. Just a note to families, there is a bar/restaurant across from the hotel that can get quite noisy at night. That is only if your room is facing the pool like ours was.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. Staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Next time we'll be staying here in the winter!

We were given the top floor in a corner room, so we had views out over the village and up the mountain.

This was great as we could see when the gondola lines were getting long in the morning. The outdoor hot tub is a great way to end the day after skiing.

The room was quite large, with the kitchen having all the facilities necessary for a week long stay. Double height ceilings meant large windows for viewing the snow outside while sitting by the fire. The balcony was a little small, with only room for one chair – but was not a huge concern for us as it was too cold to be sitting outside in winter anyway
Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in whistler. Ski rental shop on the ground floor is a great bonus. All of the staff were very helpful.

Room Tip: request a mountainside room - well worth the extra coin

Not a couples resort.
The staff are excellent and very polite and knowledgable.
The room was average, but the mountain view was nothing special - it was a peak-a-boo view and not worth the extra cost. If you get a mountain view you are facing inward to the square and it is noisy.. The Irish pub downstairs closes it's doors at 10:30 and the nosie quiets down by 11:00, but the pub opposite is open until 2:00 and it was noisy until 1:00 or 1:30 in the morning and the hotel staff was unable to accomodate a move, as they were fully booked.
THe next morning we were todl that a valley view would have been quieter - if you want a quieter room, book a valley view.

Dear Guest, thank you for sharing your feedback with the travel community on your recent visit to Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside. I wholeheartedly agree that with our mountainside location and lively Irish pub, guests of Pan Pacific Mountainside can enjoy all the action and activity available. In summer featuring slopeside views of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park and in Wintertime a birds eye view of the slopes. If you prefer exclusivity and a more relaxed ambiance, I would reccommend our sister hotel (located 200 steps away), Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre. I would love to assist with your next booking so we can ensure you have a wonderful vacation. Looking forward to next time.

Sincerely,
Nicole Leddy - Director of Rooms - Pan Pacific Whistler - nleddy@panpacific.com

The hotel (2-bedroom suite) was perfect for our extended family of six (6) people - family of four w/ two kids aged 8 and 10, and grandparents. The well-equipped kitchen saved us so much money as it meant that we did not have to pay for expensive restaurant meals three times a day. The hotel was located at the base of the Whistler gondolas (very convenient) and offered a great view of both the mountain and the popular lower village (with shopping and dining galore). The beds were excellent (firm with down duvets, wonderful pillows of all firmness types, excellent quality sheets - perhaps egyptian cotton w/ high thread count). The pool was very nice and there was both a large and small hottub and a steam room.

However, the best part about this hotel was the service. When our son came down with strep throat in the middle of our stay, the hotel staff agreed to do our laundry for us at no charge (the hotel has a 'do-it-yourself' laundro-mat), and they shuttled me to a 7'11 convenience store in the wee hours of the morning so that I could stock-up on chicken noodle soup for my son. Also, the hotel staff shuttled me and my son to a walk-in medical clinic (where my son was diagnosed with strep throat); and, in addition to all of this, the hotel staff gave my son a 'Get Well' card and a little gift to cheer him up. I have never experienced such wonderful service before. We would definitely stay here again, and we highly recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountainside room which can be acquired for a small upgrade fee when the hotel is not too...

My husband and I just had a fun quick weekend to Whistler over Canada day. Check in was easy -our room was ready so they even let us check-in a bit early which was nice since my husband wanted to hit the mountain on his bike right away. The room was clean and nice and had a beautiful view of the mountain and village. We have been coming to this hotel in the summer for several years and even though we have always enjoyed its location; the service this time was superb! They really have improved it-everyone was very friendly. Always greeting us as we entered and exited. I didn't really mind that it wasn't like that before but I have to say it made me feel more welcome with this big improvement. Being able to watch the firework show from our balcony wasn't too bad either. We highly recommend this hotel and location. Thanks again PP!
