This is the longest unsupported span in the world. Pretty cool. There are a couple of cars with glass bottoms in the middle....not really worth the trouble to catch, as the regular gondolas are just as cool.

really fast laoding, great views and very easy and included in the lift pass. The glass bottom view seemed worth trying if the queue was short.

Great time saver to get between mountains and great views of both mountains and valley, especially if you are lucky enough to have a clear day!

There was no queue as we got into the gondola station and the first gondola to come around was a glass bottomed one so we jumped straight in. If you have the time, wait for one of these as they give another perspective on the mountain. Looking directly down to the skiers and the trees below was brilliant. I am not sure how many have glass bottoms but you can easily spot them as they are grey(ish) rather than the normal red.

If lodging on Blackcomb side,a much nicer and scenic way to reach Whistler than its cramped Village gondola

We were in Whistler for a professional meeting in July 2012, and spent a day on the Gondola. This was one of the real highlights of the trip. The views were incredible, and with the lift ticket we were able to go all over Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, stopping for views or to hike.
