We read great reviews and had high expectations of Intermezzo. The appetizers (prawn/scallop dish and escargot) were delicious! Escargot was traditionally prepared and tasty. The prawn dish was an exciting fusion of traditional Italian with West Coast flare.
We eagerly anticipated the entrees however they were a huge dissapointment. Hubby had the beef teriyaki, nice flavor but way, way too much sauce. I had the creamy prawn pasta with a lobster bisque sauce. It tasted like plastic, and that was the only flavor it had.
The redeeming quality after the disappointing entrees was the server (Stephanie??). She was friendly, professional, knowledgable and cheerful. After sending hubby's dish back for more rice to sop up the sauce she brought a free dessert. The dessert was very nice (small Creme brule and chocolate mousse).
Overall, disappointed with this highly rated establishment. Food was lackluster (after the appies) and price was high.
