Owner description: Growing food & family memories since 1933! At Davison Orchards, you get fresh, local produce grown right here in Vernon, BC. And we don't just grow it - we use the ingredients in our bakery and café to make the most delicious farm food you've ever tasted. Everything we grow is available to you right here on the farm. We invite you to be part of the story of your food from start to finish. You can see the crops growing, the fruit being picked, and the apples being peeled for our famous apple pie. Because our family has been running this farm for over 80 years, we want your whole family to enjoy their time here. There is something for everyone and we hope you'll make your own happy memories and traditions.

Davison Orchards is a great place to visit with kids. There is a petting zoo, A train pulled by a tractor going through the orchards which is quite interesting. They have a small coffe shop that serves good food ,special coffee's slushes etc. The store has a large variety of home made jams, pie's, baked goods to take home. They have a u-pick for vegetables and lots of tasty fruits, by the box or small containers.
We went there on Saturday and had a great time.
I would recommend this the next time you are in our area visiting.

What a fab place, inspired by what the family have achieved so far. Great for young kids to experience the farm, ideal for a great value quality lunch and never ever forget to buy a deep filled home made apple pie to take home, if you visit Or live close by its a must do.

This use to be a place that had reasonable prices, not anymore! Although it is a beautiful place to visit, it is a tourist trap! Us locals use to visit and shop there but not anymore! The prices are crazy!

If you are planning a trip to the Okanagan Valley for the orchards and want to immerse yourself in the experience, definitely plan a stop at Davison Orchards. We were actually staying in Kelowna and made a trip to our perennial favourite family-friendly Kelowna Land and Orchard Co., only to find out that operations had ceased there over a year ago. Since the orchard experience is one of the reasons we spend time here in the summer, we wanted to find something similar, and discovered Davison Orchards, which in my humble opinion is even better than KLO Co was.

It took about an hour to drive there from where we were staying in southern Kelowna, but as soon as we pulled up, we knew that it was going to be worth it. This 4-generation family orchard was started in 1933, and three generations of the family are still working the land. They grow 25 types of apples, as well as other fruit and vegetables including peaches, plums, apricots, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, watermelon, cantelope and various summer squash. Once they start to harvest, their produce is all available for sale in their market buildings, which are also filled with other gift and food items. Many items are produced on site, such as syrups, jams, relishes, pies and other bits of deliciousness. You can take a tour through the orchard, either walking (free), or for a nominal fee one can hop into an apple cart being pulled behind a vintage John Deere tractor and putter your way through the orchard. This was quite lovely, and very informative as the driver stopped halfway through and told us all about the orchard and took the time to answer the many questions coming forth from the group on our apple cart 'train'. After our tour, we had lunch at the cafe (delicious) and then made our way over to the Kids' Corral play area. Again, there is a nominal fee involved, but it gets the kids access to a great deal of things.

If you're planning a trip, you could definitely do it in 1-2 hours. We were there for almost 5 hours as we were having such a wonderful time, and my dad (a farmer himself) was thoroughly enjoying all the vintage tractors on display. The kids weren't ready to leave, so we had to entice them away with a promise to return on our next visit. Two things we would highly recommend: 1. the homemade apple juice (you can even buy big jugs to take home with you); and 2. If the cafe has the peach-apricot pie (it is one of their seasonal pies available in limited quantities), do yourself a favour and get it. Pure, fresh deliciousness.

In a small(er) town like Vernon, this orchard is definitely something to look at even if your just passing through the town.
