“Golf in an Okanagan Paradise”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

I had the opportunity to be a guest of a communications company at Predator Ridge Golf Resort last Thursday and Friday. The night started off with dinner on the patio overlooking the 18th green of the Ridge course. The meal was excellent. Quality Alberta AAA beef cooked in one of those special ovens at 1700F. Unbelievable taste. It was followed by port and cigars on the outdoor patio listening to the sounds of coyotes in the distance. It was a definite Super Natural British Columbia moment.

Sleeping accommodation was in the Predator Ridge condo hotel which had an outstanding view of the driving range and the Monashee Mountains in the distance. Sunrise was spectacular. I thought I was in Ireland even though i've never been. With the heart racing on the anticipated excitement of hitting off I headed down to the pro shop, was set up with a cart and we were off. The Ridge course is the one course in the Okanagan that everyone wants to play. I can see why. The grooming of the grass is immaculate. The greens run true but you just better be straight. You don't have a chace to find your ball when you it it in the tall fescue grass. I lost a few. Ok more than a few but the viewscapes made up for all that pain.

The course is relatively new (2 & a half years old) and I can see why everyone in the Okanagan is trying to get on the course. It's maturing gracefully. The view from the eleveated 5th tee of Lake Okanagan Resort reminds me why you take a day off work and arrange colleagues to golf with. You get a little bit of work done but you pinch yourself with the beauty of the Okanagan Valley and you think how lucky you are to live in Southern British Columbia. If you love golf, wine, spectacular scenery then head 30 minutes north of Kelowna INternaitonal airport to Predator Ridge. You won't be disappointed.

“Nice but pricey”
Reviewed May 31, 2012

This is a very nice golf course south of Vernon but is definitely over priced. There are a lot of courses to play that are just as nice and half the price.
