I love the creativity and it's amazing there is such a cool place in Victoria, where people say its mostly for the retirees. I guess you could be cool and retired at the same time :)

“One of out best evening experiences in Victoria”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2012 via mobile

Wanted someplace different for supper for our family of fuve. Cool neighborhood, Funky atmosphere, exceptionally excellent service, and the food was awesome. Best pork chop I have ever had, and the rest of our meals were excellent too. Organic local food. Smallish portions and not cheap, but it was worth it. Nice live jazz misician the nite we were there. The proprietor also has a wonder art/antique collection in a separate room that one is free to browse. We all thoroughly enjoyed.

“A 'MUST VISIT' ! FUN / FUNKY / FANTASTIC !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

Let me start this review by saying my husband & I were in Victoria from AZ - celebrating our 20th Anniversary ... 'and' it was Canada Day - so every restaurant was packed to the gills! Our own hotel's well known restaurant (Inn at Laurel Point) even refused to accomodate us! Luckily, the girl at the front desk recommended this little Cafe, and it truly ended up being 1 of the best restaurants / memories of our entire trip!

Though the cafe itself is on the small / intimate side, they have seating both in & outdoors ... and we walked right in w/ zero wait ! Our hard working wait staff worked in tandem to make sure our glasses were never empty, and we had all we needed.

The owner then greeted us, and struck up a lively conversation - where we learned her 'Dad' ran the fabulous Antique Shop adjoining the cafe - how fun! She then brought us a glass of champagne on the house that was so thoughtful, making our meal even more spectacular. Absolutely everything we ordered was spectacular ... the homemade soup, the bruschetta w/ goat cheese (OMG!) on & on.

I can not urge you enough to venture into this wonderful little gem of a cafe. The atmosphere changes by season (be sure to note the swings hanging from the ceiling ;) and every corner holds some fantastic conversation piece. The music and artsy ambiance is an absolute winner.

We will make this our very 1st stop, should we ever return. Thank you for a wondeful memory!

The food was excellent and very creative. The staff was friendly and fun. The live music was a nice surprise. And, the atmosphere couldn't be better!
