Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria's BEST IRISH PUB! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights a week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

We went to the Irish Times Pub after a day of meetings and it was a good place to unwind. They have a great selection of beer on tap, the food is tasty and the staff very friendly. I had Irish Stew with rosemary bread which was good. The live music was a wonderful addition, and it was fun to hear songs from Atlantic Canada.

Terrific Fish 'n Chips and if that's not to your liking the Corned Beef sandwich on marble rye is lights out. The wait staff are not only beautiful folks they are attentive, helpful and genuinely cordial. Check back in the evening for some music and a few cold ones. One of the best places in Victoria for sure.

We came here on a short visit from a cruise ship. The local beer selection was very good, and the service at the bar good, even though the bar was very busy. There was a live band playing that night, and they were really excellent. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun place to have a few beers in the heart of the city.

Visited this pub during a short visit to Victoria on a cruise ship. We wanted to have a few beers at a few pubs in the district before having to return to the ship at 11pm. We were kind of scoffed at for asking for a Molson and a Blue, so we tried 4 different microbrews suggested by the bartender. They were good, but not nearly $10 good. We opted not to eat there after seeing the prices of the entrees vs. the sizes of them. We didn't know how much the beers were until the bill came and we nearly fell off the bar stools. Seriously. Had we known they'd be that much, we'd have found a 7-11 and got a case of beer! Overall, the atmosphere is pretty, a little dark, and it got louder the longer we sat, but I would not come here again because of the prices of the drinks.
