Found this restaurant while looking for somewhere without burgers or TV! Pleasantly surprised by the variation of food on the menu, and enjoyed a quality meal. Good relaxed service, and would return again. Best food so far on our trip, and well priced.

Food tasted terrible, plus I got big chunks of rock salt in my salsa verde. Now imagine the sensasion when you bite into that. The noodles on one of the fish dishes were undercooked and the broth was luke warm. Total disappointment.

Thank you so much for your constructive comments. These allow us to make genuine improvements to our quality and service. It was good we had the opportunity to email directly to eachother on this matter the following morning and I have personally followed up with our professional team.

We chose Wild Saffron Bistro because family had been there on several occasions (work oriented) and raved about how delicious everything was. We were not disappointed! Four of us went for dinner and all felt we had excellent meals. 3 of us started out with salad appetizers (all different). We had the House Salad, Curried Avocado Salad and Prosciutto with Grilled Vegetables Salad. The forth went for the Saffron Seafood Bisque. Rave reviews all around. Main entrees one ordered the Braised Beef Ravioli and couldn't leave any on her plate as it was so good. One had the Miso Halibut done with a miso sake sauce, it was served with a jasmine rice and asian style veggies. I did have a taste the halibut and we both agreed it was indeed probably the most delicious halibut we've ever had! 2 of us had the Pan Roasted Free-range Chicken Supreme served with a wild mushroom risotto and veggies. Absolutely wonderful!

One of the features we liked about the Bistro is that there are at least 2 monitors (1 outside & 1 in the dining room that displayed the kitchen and all the food preparation taking place. It had to be one of the cleanest kitchens around. Immaculate at all times. We felt very secure in knowing the high level of food safety being used! We will all definitely be going back!!!

My wife and I just finished a superb dinner here (Aug 27/13) .. we each had the 3-course dinner special for $29.95, which consisted of: an excellent quinoa salad appetizer, poached salmon accompanied by a terrific broth, basmati rice, and perfectly done vegetables -- young carrot, broccoli, miniature squash, and fabulous miniature yellow beets. Dessert was an excellent bitter-sweet flourless chocolate cake with whipped cream and a sliced strawberry with strawberry puree. We have been visiting Victoria for around 4 weeks now and have been eating in different restaurants all the time (only several repeats) .. this has been one of the best dinners we have had [we're visiting from New Jersey, just outside of Manhattan]. The venue is also very pleasant.

We went there for our son's birthday, we were the only patrons! The food was very tasty except the duck was served well done when both my son's requested it rare-medium rare! The salad's were very delicious! The vegetables served with our main courses were hard and barely hot!! The gentlemen who served us was pleasant enough, but certainly not very outgoing, so therefore there was very little interaction! The ambience was warm and pleasant, we were hoping for more! All in all it was a nice meal!
