“Bliss out on some top notch Caribbean cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

Any visit to Victoria, means eating at the Reef for me, and I just enjoyed another superb meal. The Chana was delicious; the Roti wraps are always flavorful and fresh. Everything Miss P makes has been excellent but oh my God, there are no words for the Johnnycakes with the coconut infused butter! Angels start to sing, and you can feel yourself levitating.

“A little of the islands on the island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

Went out for a great meal at The Reef Restaurant while in Victoria. The staff was super and the food even better. The staff helped us chose our meal selection from appetizers and drinks to the main course.
Watch out for the hot sauce though..it certainly burns..

“Wag Wham!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Nice carribean inspired place. All the hanging flags and ligghts make for a romantic, easy atmoshpere. Food and drinks are good. On weekends they have a live DJ that plays great music. Last time we went the waitress was alone and kinda usy so, the service hurt due to that and she was very vocal and apologetic that someone called in sick and they cut people which - is not my problem but enjoyed the place regardless.

“Good meal in pleasant atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

Decent Caribbean inspired food. Some authentic Johnny cakes to begin with followed by some nice entrees. The Jerk Chicken is nice, although it is typical of Jerk chicken outside of the Caribbean in that it is marinated rather than 'infused' with the spices. However, that being said, it was still very nice. The waitress forgot an appetizer but could not be bothered to follow it up given the huge portion sizes of the rest of the meal and the complimentary Johnny cakes.

“Good Caribbean food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

This is one of three Reef restaurants in British Columbia, the other two being in Vancouver. This one is well located close to the waterfront. Very good Caribbean menu with the emphasis on Jamaican cuisine. Huge portions. Good service. Nice casual atmosphere.
