I have loved this place since it was a hidden gem in an abandoned rail yard.
The area has really improved and the sea walk from downtown is wonderful, the 20 minute walk is a great appetite improver. The food remains the same.
The place was busy and a little noisy but that goes with the territory.
I cannot say enough about how great the staff were.
We had a wonderful plate of local cheeses and seafood chowder for appetizers. They mistakenly brought vegetable soup, apologized, and left it with us to try along with the fresh chowder. The soups were all really good.
For entree had halibut fish and chips which seemed a bit out of place since the downstairs is a bit upscale now. The fish was good and the fries and cole slaw was really good.
Similarly we couldn't decide on a beer and ordered samplers. The poor staff were so patient, but it was well worth it to try all the different beers.
It was really nice to see the local beers and food.
I hope it will still be there in another 25 years.
