“Excellent food, Good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2011

An excellent pub, with usualy pub style food. But extra delicious pub style food. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten out. Sevice is good, every time we go.

“nice little pub”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2011

This is a nice little pub that we have been to several times for lunch. They offer typical pub food that is prepared well based on our experience. Staff are friendly and there is a good selection of local and imported beer. Nice place to relax for lunch while shopping in the area.

“WORST BREKFAST EVER”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2009

My wife and I went for a late breakfast this morning. Just brutal. 1st coffee tasted like water. Eggs Benny tasted like vinegar. I ordered sour dough toast and got whole wheat with my breakfast. They managed to fix the coffee. I had to take the eggs benny breakfast back to the kitchen myself as there was no waitress to be found.. No one could figure out why the eggs benny tasted like vinegar?. 1 coffee, 1 pint and sauage @ eggs @ hashbrowns cost $15.35. In my opoinion food is way over priced for what you get. Will not return.

“Not far from UVic, good calamari, sports-type bar, Guinness on tap”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2009

Maude Hunter's is a fairly small upstairs sports-type pub with a small outside terrace. It is not too far from the University of Victoria so has a pretty young clientele. There are numerous TV's tuned to sporting events, while the speakers on the wall play rock. There is limited parking by the building, but no worries, there's another parking lot just up the street. Seating is comfortable.
The menu is medium sized and the prices are quite reasonable. I had the calamari, which comes with a generous serving of tsatsiki sauce, and is done just right and tastes excellent. There is a good selection of beers. On February 12'09 a Guinness was $7.10.
