The food was impeccably prepared. The scallops were perfectly cooked and oh so good. The salad dressing had a touch of vanilla. Very unusual and very tasty. The Caesar (which I am not normally fond of) was wonderful too. We both had the filet which was well seasoned and cooked to order. Good wine list. Great, reasonably priced reds. We chose a Malbec which lived up to our standards. Although everything was perfect, it was the owner/server who really made our meal. It was so nice to talk with someone who loves what she does, knows her business, and cares about people. The only suggestion I could possibly make is to incorporate another entree or two that isn't game on the menu. We would have returned another night for dinner during our stay but lamb, venison, and duck don't appeal to me. That is just my personal preference, not a criticism of the restaurant. Wonderful experience, highlight of our meals in Victoria.
