Very convenient to have a place in the hotel that not only had great food but the service and atmosphere was wonderful. It was not your usual pub food!

Simple menu of burgers, sandwiches, and pizza. The service was great, and food was very good. The decor is very trendy and attractive. Live music every night starting at 9 p.m. Lots of locals pack this place, it's good eating and great fun!

Popular place, very good atmosphere, didn't try the beer, but have had it before and it was good. Second visit, first time ordering food. I'd say it would be great to go there for drinks with friends. I wouldn't order the pub food or entrees. Ordered the popcorn shrimp for a starter. was dark brown with no character to the batter, probably was some type of bulk frozen stuff, which can be tasty, but when cooked to a dark crisp all you taste is crust. It could be a temporary personnel problem in the kitchen, but this was leading into the dragonboat race weekend, so you would think that you'd make sure you get an experienced person in the kitchen for that weekend (no brainer).

After waiting about half an hour for the entrees to arrive (waitstaff professional and very friendly and positive). I was stunned. My wife had the special which was an Ahi tuna with rice and veggies. Visually it was a mess, and further examination didn't help things much. Tuna came well done, soggy on the outside, with just a trace of sear on the surface. The rice came in a large molded mound of about 1.5-2 cups which accentuated the small size of the ahi filet which was probably about 5 ounces. The veg was soggy looking with some really big pieces that were not cooked in the middle. OK so I am into cooking, so this may seem to be pretty nit-picky. I had the duck burger. overall pretty bland, meat lacked any browning, had an off flavor. OK enough for the rant. I definitely appreciate the trip advisor reviews on restaurants. We had just rolled into victoria and didn't bother preresearching the restaurants, but after this meal did due diligence and things definitely improved in subsequent meals.
